I think Willem Dafoe could turn out really well. Otherwise I do not really know...

Maybe Christopher Plummer, buit he is maybe too old :)

A ton of really good selections so far, but here's a name no one's thrown in so far:

Malcolm McDowell

Yes, he's older than Pierce. But he's got that wonderful psycho look in his blue eyes and he can radiate pure evil when he's got a meaty enough role.

Also , I wouldn't mind seeing Chow Yun Fat as 007's mirror image working for the Red Chinese...though I suspect EON won't return to the Far East so soon...

By far a true pyscho!!! He gave one of the best preformances I've ever seen as a villian in that movie. I think he would be splendid to watch against Bond, think of the torture scene he would think up!!

From watching A Clockwork Orange, he could probably show Bond a thing, or two, about quickies en route.

Easy the bond Villian for Bond 21 should be Martha Stewart playing herself :)

I give DAD some credit for having the traditional villain character back in stock. 006 was great for a change up in Goldeneye. TND had no interesting notes whatsoever (I mean come on, a media CEO? It raised a good point about how bad the media can be, but it wasn't a classic Bond villain). TWINE brought the classic odd villians back, but it did not develop them as much as I would have liked. I feel DAD restored that. I hope they continue the postive trend.

Although it would be interesting to bring back a continous villain or organization that overlaps in a few Bond movies. Perhaps this can be done after Pierce steps down.

Malcolm McDowell has done the villian thing to death. From movies to Tv and even animated shows. Though he's a great actor, I'd feel like the EON had ran out of ideas of they casted him. There's so many good actors that would be great Bond villians, all of which we've mentioned, from Patrick Stewart, to Samuel L. Jackson, to Avery Brooks, Jeremy Irons, Antonio Banderas, Jean Reno, Willem Dafoe, I can't see falling back on a "stock villain" actor.

You're all sadly wasting your time suggesting all these non-british actors for villains. Because looking back over the Brosnan Bond films, and looking to the future it doesn't seem likely that they'll choose anybody but a Brit. It absolutely SUCKS!!!

I don't think a Brit is needed at all. I think they should stick one in now and again, but given how most of the intelligence organizations work together and nations are not as exclusive as they were even 15 years ago, I think it makes more sense to have villains who are external threats.

I would have to agree jmesbond2001....a Brit is not needed every time to play a villian....just take a look back @ Fleming....not a Brit every time there. Part of Bond is the international flair.

How about Jean Reno as a Scaramanga style figure, a French hitman sort of thing? I like Avery Brooks to do the "African leader exploiting world tensions" thing that somebody (sorry, I can't remember) mentioned for Samuel L. Jackson.

It's time to bring in William Shatner to reprise his role of General Mortars from the classic movie National Lampoon's Loaded Weapon One.

With the decent caliber of actors/models that they are putting into the freakin' VIDEO GAME, I have some serious high hopes that they will have even higher standards for Bond 21, especially for the villain. I just hope the movie itself is better than that game.

Rickman would never play another villain again. I think he went on record a few years back swearing off any more villains.

Rickman was offered Alec Trevelyan, but turned it down so he wouldn't be further stereotyped as a villain after Die Hard and Robin Hood.

Bring Steven Berkoff back. He was a nut. I hear he's a nut in real life, too, so he won't have to stretch.
