HA HA !! JUST KIDDING !!

Well at least one of the Spice Girls is a looker. No, not scary spice, but Vicotoria spice (is that her name?) would have been a nice extra for a Bond film. Nah, bad idea. Why not have her husband David Beckman be Bond? :)

Raquel Welch would have been a great match with Bond. Her Fathom was great 60's titty-spy-fluff, but she should have had James.

I've always pictured what it would be like with her as Tracy.

I vote for Nathalie Portman. Forget her Star Wars stuff, and look at some of her other performances to see that here's a very talented and a beautifully sophisticated actress who could make a very interesting Bond girl. I've been fascinated by her ever since I saw her breathtaking performance in Leon.

Elke Sommer, Sybil Danning, Elizabeth Hurley, Virna Lisl, Joan Collins, Anita Ekberg, and Ann-Margaret come to mind.

Don't forget Senta Berger, Dhalia Lavi, Genvieve Bujold, Nancy Kwan, and Yvonne Craig. Natalie Wood, Vanessa Williams.

Natalie Portman was a good idea, along with Jessica Alba, Kate Beckinsale, Beyonce' Knowles (she could even sing the title song) Tyra Banks

Lordy! Thinkin of all these beuatiful women is enough to make a guy need a cold shower!

Really? I thought it was funny how he was stroking a different animal in every scene. And his "pearls of wisdom" that were really nonsense was kinda Monty Python I thought. Hmm...here we go again Qwerty... :) :)

I took Laura to see it when she was younger. The popcorn was bad and we both felt nauseous. Now I kinda ascociate the film with vomit. Ok--let the jokes ensue, but I liked it. It was cute. Alan (Boris) C*umming was in it.

Qwerty--I can say Pussy but not C*umming. Sigh. I like Alan alot. I'm probably going to be typing his name alot. I read yesterday where a guy posted "sucks d*ck". Only the WHOLE thing came out. Why I can't I say C*mming?

Thanx !! :-)

I was just appalled at times to see him in that movie. Just didn't expect him in a movie like that. As Bond and other roles he seems more approapriate. I know it was a small role, it was just very different to see him in one like that.

Funnily enough when Keira Knightley played Natalie Portman's doppleganger in the first Star Wars movie (THE PHANTOM MENACE) even Keira and Natalie's mothers couldn't tell who was who!

I never heard that before. Very neat. Having watched that exact movie recently, it sometimes is easy to notice a resemblence between those characters in some of the scenes.

I definately agree Qwerty, but I always thought that the fact their mothers could not tell them apart was especially revealing - I read about it in an interview with Knightley sometime ago. I guess I am as much a Knightley fan as I am a Bond fan!

I never really thought of the two being that similar looking until you mentioned this, and then I remembered those scenes from Epsiode 1.

>^..^<

OMG!

007 could have a travelling Harem like James Coburn did in "Our Man Flint."

Mel B & Mel C could play BAMBI & THUMPER in a remake of Diamonds are Forever.

They could sing the theme song to BOND 21.

This is just wrong!

Or a variation of a Bond girl, that being in that she'd be a great Miss Moneypenny.

Anyone who likes her, go see Runaway Jury, it's an outstanding movie featuring her.

Yeah, I agree. She'de by a good Moneypenny... but isn't she too young to be Moneypenny?

I'm usually not one to jump on the "let's get an unknown" bandwagon, but in this case, it's hard for me to imagine someone as Moneypenny who is a well-known actress fully capable of starring in her own movies.

I suppose they've done it with M, so they can do it just as well with Moneypenny. Still, I wouldn't really expect it.

She's not a huge actress though. I could see it happening.

Elizabeth Hurley! I can't see her doing it since she's done Austin Powers already but she would be perfect!

I could've so seen the French film star Brigette Bardot (From the film "And God Created Woman"), with Connery !!

>^..^<

Posted Image

It did happen, just not in the world of 007. Connery & Mlle. Bardot did co-star together in the 1968 film version of Louis L'Amour's western Shalako. Interestingly enough, they were EON's first choices for Bond & Tracy in On Her Majesty’s Secret Service but they made Shalako instead. When viewing Shalako, one can easily ponder what might have been.

Hmmm....well Liz Hurley does have one 007 connection - she was the host of the 1995 Bond documentary tracing the cinematic history of 007.

Hurley definitely was a missed opportunity. Sexy, playful, dangerous and very English. She still looks good, but honestly not quite the same (she'd work well with 52-year-old Brosnan; not so well with a young guy), and I do think it would make Bond feel like Austin Powers, which is never something you want.

I agree with the Catherine Zeta-Jones suggestion upthread, that's another case where it would have been perfect at a certain time but the window of opportunity has likely closed. I don't think she would do it now.

Indeed. I'm not her biggest fan, but she did indeed look good while hosting that documentary. I'd think she'd make a more interesting femme fatale.
