I'm jealous of the Southern Californian CBN members.

As am I actually. Of all the Bond films out there, this would be my pick any day, any time to see in a theatre. Cheers to all who are going!

I'm jealous too. I would love to see this.

Anyone in Cali have a spare room for a night... LOL :)

003 if you're reading this get some more of those blue cheese stuffed olives and chill your finest vodka.

009 returns to L.A. Well...sort of...it's the other 009 but 009 nonetheless.

That's right. Kourtney and I will be heading to L.A. for this screening. She's attending a baby shower in the morning on Saturday and then I will be joining her in the afternoon. It would be fantastic to see everyone. We'd love to maybe have drinks at the Skybar on Saturday and make it a real Bond/Hollywood weekend.

I want to go to the screening, but I'm at a standstill with the situation. I don't have a ticket, my loving mother doesn't want me to go, and I don't have a ride. For once i want to be independent, and sadly this conflict I'm dealing with has forced me not to go...

...hopefully in the next few days I'll try to deal with this quandary, and help rethink my plans. Sorry for dissapointing all the L.A Bond fans (Athena, John). Now to occupy myself by sending some apology letters...

Awe... bummer. Sounds like when my mom wouldn't let me go see GoldenEye. I do hope we'll get to meet up sometime -- maybe you can work something out. No worries...

No doubt she wanted to protect you from being seduced into the wicked world of 007.

Worked great, didn't it? :). :)

Musso and Frank delivers my favorite martini in Los Angeles. How about a tipple or two after the screening?

After the screening it will be too late for those who actually have work in the morning. So I think we're going to plan drinks before the screening. :)

So where do we have these pre-movie drinks and appitizers...
Musso and Frank?
Skybar?

Any other suggestions?

Pre-movie drinks will definitely work best for us. Since Starcrash is at 6:30 and TSWLM is after it so that's going to end up being too late for us considering we have to drive back to SD and go to work on Monday.

We'll be up there on Sat. so we can meet people then too.

Kourtney and I will be up in L.A. on Saturday afternoon. We're going to be at The Argyle on Sunset. The plan is to meet whoever wants to get together for drinks and Bond talk on Saturday evening and meet the moviegoers on Sunday for dinner, drinks, whatever. We have to be back in SD Sunday night so unfortunately we can't stay for the film but hopefully we'll get to meet a few Bond folks.

"Oh THANK YOU Athena!"

"Stay at Bryce's, he won't mind...."

*Re-thinks last comment given the future house guest Athena has set him up with*

Er...YEAH....My place. Anytime. Anyone.

I still need to get tickets. DOH!

I've been a bit busy.

Saturday was my plan for a gathering anyway. I might also suggest a few other spots to hit.

Hmmmm....

Ry, Solex, 004, Flicka, Athena, John, G (c'mon old man - kill whoever it is) let's put it together.

009, good sir, check you backup channels. I've sent a few signals. Duly noted on the olives. :)

Right then!

"Let the mayhem begin....Again."

I think Musso and Frank is a great idea. It's right across the street. And a martini sounds perfect. (That's also the best place to park -- there's a structure right up that side street behind M&F. Forget the name of the street, but the Black Dahlia's last apartment is on that street.)

I'll be there on Sunday and we'll be in touch with 003 about a Saturday "Bonding
as well. You can never get too much Bond.

*On second thought, the death march comes to mind. I guess there can be too much Bond. "And over there is where the portable restrooms were set up for the background extras..."

Looking forward to this weekend.

I am joining Qwerty in moving to LA...or at the very least, jumping off the Brooklyn Bridge to bemoan our loss.

Oh please woman, you got that Thunderball screening a while back. Most of us don't get anything as far as classic Bond on the big screen. :)

That's about the one big thing in NY, Bond related lately, and it's at the other end of the damned state.

Little bit of trivia about Starcrash--the David Hassellhoff flick you get to see!--it does have a score by John Barry, so you get to hear a Barry score that night, even if it's not for Bond. I have the CD with Starcrash and Until September, and believe me, you gotta hear what Barry did for this flick.

FYI - Caroline Munro will be doing an autograph signing session in the courtyard of The Egyptian Theatre on Saturday afternoon prior to the screenings of the Ray Harryhausen masterwork THE GOLDEN VOYAGE OF SINBAD and the celebrated Hammer horror challenger THE BRIDES OF DRACULA. Both films receive The Solex Agitator stamp of approval...

SEEK!

I hope I can make it to Musso's before Sunday's screening but as I am a Cinematheque volunteer / event shooter, I may not be able to. Hopefully I can knock back at least one...

I send much,
The Solex Agitator

OK....

Sadly, I don't think Casa Bryce will be available for any "Bonding".

I've got some friends from SF coming down late tonight and staying through Sunday. They've just gotten engaged and are down here to celebrate with the bride-to-be's family and have invited me along for dinner and some other festivities throughout the weekend.

However, I'll be there (possibly with Flicka) for the screening and the aforementioned martini's. Maybe a bit of fun in Hollyweird.

Solex - I'll be looking for the glasses.

Ry - Try not to kill/cripple 5 guys in the blink of an eye.

009 and Mrs. 009 - Looking forward to seeing you as always.

Athena & Zencat - "You know the rest" :)

Spectre Assassin - Here's to hoping you can show your "parental units" the error of their ways.

Genrewriter - Kill whoever you need to. Maybe Ry can help.

Depending on my guests schedule, there might be a chance that the Casa will and could be invaded by Bond fans. I'll have a better idea of their (and consequently) my plans once they arrive.

Maybe I should just give everybody keys....

Casa Bryce - the official clubhouse of California based CBn members.....No...Really.
