CBn's Main Page Announcement...
*"The Spy Who Loved Me" Screening in Hollywood*

I am not sure if this is already posted elsewhere but The American Cinematheque's upcoming 5th Annual Festival of Fantasy, Science Fiction and Horror will include a tribute to Caroline Munro and a screening of THE SPY WHO LOVED ME! It has been some time since I have had the pleasure of seeing this projected. I must have seen it two dozen times on its initial release...when I was 12! See you there!

SPY on the big screen, I am so there!

(I'd like to see The Brides of Dracula as well.)

:)

Spy strikes me as a film best seen on the big screen. Should be a great night. Enjoy. :)

Done deal.

Last time I saw TSWLM on the big screen was in '92 during a "Best of the 70's" festival in San Francisco.

THIS looks like a job for the LA CBn crew!

I'll give Flicka a ring as well.

Indeed, one of the best Bond's to see on a big panavision screen.

I threw this up as a quick link for those who want to mark their calanders. We'll do a reminder when we get closer to the date. Thanks Solex for the tip. :)

Woo Hoo! This is Awesome! One of my 4 fave Bond movies on the Big Screen, I'm soooo there. I suppose it's worth sitting through a movie with David Hasselhoff :) lol. Anywho...

Any CBn member who lives within driving distance from LA... come on people... let's make a night of it! :)

I am joining Qwerty in moving to LA...or at the very least, jumping off the Brooklyn Bridge to bemoan our loss.

Go for the first option, it'll save you a fortune on the dry cleaning. :)

Hey G....if I jump off the Bridge, I'm dead so who cares about the dry cleaning.

And besides, there is nowhere near enough traffic in New York City these days. :-P

All joking aside, I am one of those kids "in the late

Mr. Hasselhoff's dubious talents aside, STARCRASH does feature the talents of Ms. Munro, a John Barry score, and plenty of Italian cheeeese! And sing the praises of the powers that be! Hasselhoff does not sing in STARCRASH! :)

I just wanted to know when do we purchased tickets for TSWLM event? :)

I just want to get an early start when I'm planning to go...

I would purchase them whenever you can. The sooner the better I'm guessing. There's no way we'll ever get seats next to each other so we'll all have to go solo in the theater. But before the event we're totally going to hang out and everything (will be planned later) :)

Cool, Athena! :)

I might have to purchase the ticket in person, since I don't have a fax machine. Or better yet, I'll sign up as a member. I don't want to be left out for this bewildering event. :)

Well, I wouldn't wait till that night to get tickets! :) Becasue you probably won't get in. So find a fax :) (I think you can go to kinkos and fax something) or get yourself to the box office. We don't want you to miss this either, it's going to be a sooo fun! :)

I don't have a kinko's near me, I think. :) But I think showing up in person might be the wisest, since you know faxing stuff may prove amiss sometimes. But, I'm going to get my ticket ASAP! :)

Are there still seats available? It might work out for Kourtney and me to cruise up for this event. That would be very cool.

I'm jealous of the Southern Californian CBN members. To revisit my childhood and see StarCrash and The Spy Who Love Me on the big screen again would rock. I wish I could go and see the gorgeous Miss Munro in person. I would like to ask her if she regrets turning down the role of Ursa in Superman.

As am I actually. Of all the Bond films out there, this would be my pick any day, any time to see in a theatre. Cheers to all who are going!

1. First Bond I ever saw in the theater. (age 13)
2. I live one subway stop from the theater, hell I could walk there.
3. Caroline Munro was hot.

Sorry just thinking aloud...

As far as i know, yes. Just fax away for your tickets asap, as I'm sure it will fill up.
