I enjoy the Bond movies, but I am a bigger fan of the novels than anything else, even some of the later Gardner ones! :D I also collect 007 items, books, toys, posters ect! Don't mean to be long winded, just wanted to drop in and say greetings to Bond fans one and all. Cheers!

Hi. I'm a New Jack here. I came across the site while searching for some info. on the Fleming novels(which I'm about to read for the first time!). I'm a big fan of the movies(and hopefully the books).

I wasn't a where of the Bond films/books growing up.(It's sad, I know. Please don't kick me off the forum??) I think the first Bond movie that I ever saw was Tomorrow Never Dies when it first debuted on Showtime. I liked it, but wasn't hooked. The next one I saw was The World Is Not Enough because my brother bought it on Pay Per View and he was like,"Hey idiot. You're gonna like this. I swear.". I liked it too, but I still wasn't hooked. Then on Thanksgiving Eve night 2002(whatever year Star Wars: Ep II came on DVD) SpikeTV/TNN played Dr. No. I started my prep work for Thanksgiving dinner that night and stopped when my brother told me it was about to come on. Two and a half to three hours later it ended and I looked at my brother and said, "That was the 'stuff'.", well you know what I said. :D I watched a marathon of most of the Bond films that Christmas on SpikeTV and I've been hooked since.

My favorite Bond is Sean Connery.

My favorite Bond film changes depending on how I feel.(Usually one of the first four Connery films)

Nice "little" site you have here. :D

Thanks for having me!

Hello everyone. I'm a long term reader and just joined today.

I go back to the days of Connery - the glory days.

Forget what they are saying about Casino Royale being a reboot, Dr No was the FIRST Bond adventure and those days will never been seen again sadly.

New guy here. I've been reading the forum for about a year and finally ready to jump in and discuss all things Bond with other kindred spirits.

I've been into Bond since 1964 (okay, I was only 5 years old, but my parents said it was the first film that I didn't run up and down the aisles during -- and that I was transfixed on it from the gun barrel til the end credits).

Enjoy your threads and the general commraderie.

One questions (I'm kind of a Luddite) how do I submit an identity icon like the ones I see on the left hand column? (For example, Qwerty's is a womans silohuette against a blue background).

I have a great image from the film "Danger: Diabolik" (my handle) that I want to use, but I'm not sure what size to submit and if I need to do the circle).

Thanks, guys (and girls).

Diabolik

Hi, Diabolik.

Welcome to Commanderbond.net Forums. :D

First off. There are avatar galleries which you can access in your profile.

I'm afraid you can't upload your own pic as to prevent users from using MGM/EON copyrighted images. :D

Enjoy your stay. :D

Hello All!

I just joined today as a member. I have been visiting this wonderful site for about a week, and am impressed, especially after reading the CBn team page. Such young accomplished ones.

I read that section particularly, as one who considers himself quite knowledgable on Bond matter: seen every film; read all the Benson novels and several of the Gardners and a few of the Flemings; read a few of the behind the scenes 007 books, am a connoseur of the Bond formula including the title sequences that some skip over while watching 007; etc.. I am looking around for opportunities to profit from such extensive knowledge/experience, as I might as well get paid for such things if I may lack other career skills like computer applications, (which I am learning also).

I will most likely post this type inquiry more to come, and more specifically directed, as I familiarize myself more with this knowledgable and colorful site. But any comments (and opportunities/invites) are welcome.
