Odd that two out of the three Vespers we've seen on screen didn't even attempt to match her physical description from the book!

It's strange, but when I read the Bond I see changes throughout the book. Some chapters I see Craig, others I see Dalton, and some I see Connery. Just depends on what the chapter is about and who I can see acting it out.
I've seen alot of other CBn members post the same as that. It seems to be pretty common, I guess.

My Bond is pretty damn original to me, though if I had to put a face on him he'd look a bit like Gregory Peck.

Although since I was introduced to the films before the literature, I end up seeing the bond from the book's respective film. I know that sounds prettty lame.

His hair is different, but I like the poise and age of Fleming's authorized sketch.. I do occassionally see Connery, but generally I have a unique Bond in my head..

Actually, I see something more similar to Fleming's own interpretation of the character:

Not really, I re-read Casino Royale after reading the Titan prints of the Bond comics (great comics, by the way) and I ended up seeing Yaroslav Horak's interpretation of Bond. This probably sounds sad but I see John McLusky's Bond from the Daily Express strips...

(After all, didn't Tania say he looked like an American film star?)

For the recent books I read, it broke down like this:
Doctor No: Predominantly Connery, and this is because the movie and the book are quite similar.
Zero Minus Ten: Brosnan and Dalton--the more recent vintage novels usually get those two in my head.
Casino Royale: The 'Amalgam' Bond, Dalton and...the big surprise... Clive Owen!
You Only Live Twice: A younger Sean Connery than the one in the movie, some 'Amalgam'
Scorpius: Dalton and Moore.
Brokenclaw: Mostly Brosnan, some Dalton

The rest, and in the continuation novels, I don't picture any actor.
I did picture Clive Owen when I read Casino Royale a couple years ago, because I was purposefully trying to imagine him as Bond. Next time I read it (before the movie comes out) I'll be picturing Daniel Craig.

Actually, the Ian Fleming comissioned drawing (look to the left) is probably the most like what I picture Bond as in my head.

When I see an actor with Fleming's books it's usually Sean or Tim but for the most part it's a man that looks like the one next to my Sean avatar with a voice almost identical to Craig's.
That's odd because the Bond I see doesn't look like any of the actors, but he does sound exactly like Connery.. everytime! If I haven't heard Connery speaking in a while, it sounds like my crappy impression of Connery (which is really sad) but the accent gets better if I've seen one of his films recently.. very strange..

Might be that this question was already asked in the Literature Threads - if so, please forgive me and merge - if not: I would be interested which Person you have in mind reading the Ian Fleming novels?
I myself am a great reader - but actually never picked up an Ian Fleming novel - ever since my first Bond movie, I thought that this was the kind of stuff I wanted to look on screen but not for a reading.
But coming back to reading - while reading other books I have of course pictures in my mind and just the other day I thought - if I would go out now and would like to read for example Casino Royale - I would of course see Daniel Craig.
Do you actually change the Bond Character within the book as they have changed on screen - or is it always the same - or even no one of the 6 actors?
Thanks,
Brittany
