Elmore Leonard - Tishomingo Blues

Great read so far. Can't wait to see how Don Cheadle shapes the film.

The Shining. I can only really read it during lunch breaks, so only going a chapter a day.

The last book I read was Past Mortem. That only took me a couple of days (but then, every Ben Elton book is like that).

I've been reading Everything's Eventual by Stephen King, it's a collection of short stories (closer to novellas actually). Pretty good stuff.

James Bond: The Authorized Biography of 007. I'm a little over half way done with it, and I think it's great. The back history of Bond before Casino Royale is great. I just hope that the Young Bond series incorporates those stories.

Just finished the expanded American Gods by Neil Gaiman. Still great stuff the second time around, and the forty extra pages adds quite a bit to the secondary characters.

Last week, I read an advance copy of an upcoming comedy/mystery called Highway 61 Resurfaced by Bill Fitzhugh - very funny, very entertaining. I think it's going to be published in April or May.

I'm currently on a book called Map Of Bones by James Rollins. Pretty enjoyable, but far from flawless. I hear that some of Rollins' other books are pretty good.

I always enjoy reading Chrichton. But I enjoyed TGTR least of all his efforts (except Eaters of The Dead, which I still haven't read).

Been re-reading Casino Royale when possible.

"Things Fall Apart" by Chinua Achebe for English class. Not really my type of book. Hard to differentiate people, places and things.

Just started reading Rainbow Six. I've always thought that the John Clark character is, if not better, then just as interesting as Jack Ryan.

Really? Which one?

I'm just finishing THE DOUBLE TENTH by George Brown. A very good thriller - the villain is a Chinaman with artificial hands.

The Teeth of the Tigar. It's the last book in the Jack Ryan series, though this one is about his son.
