Exactly what I did. As Chandler praised Fleming, his books are worth trying out.

I just finished the decent adventure novel Charon's Landing by Jack DuBrul, and am nearly finished with Blood Oath by David Morrell, which is a fantastic thriller. It's been months since I've read a Morrell novel (he's probably my second-favorite writer), and I forgot how thrilling his stories are - each chapter really leaves you wanting to continue and unravel the story even more. I really recommend any of his books, especially First Blood, which is one of my all-time favorite novels.

About to start reading either "The Man Behind James Bond" or "James Bond 007, the Authorised Biography". Not sure which one I want to read first though.

Someone pick for me. :)

It's one of the few I don't have, been thinking of trying it out, if you read it, let me know what it's like.

I recently finished Milton's Paradise Lost and Dante's The Divine Comedy. Easily the greatest works of literature I've ever read, but they're probably too slow and heavy for most readers. If you're in an intellectual mood, though, don't hesitate to check 'em out!

Agent76:
Have you ever read any of Coben's other novels? I haven't read Tell No One, but have read two others of his (One False Move and Gone For Good), not to mention I own another two which I have yet to read - I think that he is a fantastic mystery writer, and really has such a writing style that makes you never want to put the book down. He also has a fantastic sense of humor, especially in his "Myron Bolitar" novels (I think his first seven novels focused on this character, and then he began to write other, independant stories).

To those who have read, are the Marple or Poirot novels on the whole better? I've loved Poirot so far in two books, not sure whether to try Marple or not. (Agatha Christie)

Finished Debt of Honor a little over a week ago. Then read Splinter Cell, a CSI novel, and London Bridges in under a week. Now reading Executive Orders. I'm kind of in a Tom Clancy mode right now, and with EO being 1355 pages long, it's going to take me a while to get through it.

Hurcle has alot of bizzare and downright spinetingling cases and so does Marple. You'll have to piuck and choose; That's what I do sometimes.

I defenately reccomend: And Then There Were None; The Moving FInger, The Murder Of Roger Ackroyd, The ABC Murders, Cards On The Table, and The Body In THe Library.

I'm reading "Live From New York, It's Saturday Night."It's a personal account of Saturday Night Live from its beginnings up to 2002 in the words of the talent that created the show. Lots of gossip and insight into a show that's a television legend.

The best book Christie ever wrote, I think. Quite brilliant. Great ending to it. And the writing's not what one might expect - it's almost like reading an Angry Young Man novel.

Would be interested on hearing your thoughts once you've finished this, Qwerty.

"The Lexus and the Olive Tree" by Thomas L Friedman.

It's a pretty bland book about Globalization for my Global Studies class. Some of the book is interesting, don't get me wrong. A lot of it is overshadowed by his excessive ability to prove a point with anecdote upon anecdote, though.

I'm already ~200 pages behind the reading. I just can't bring myself to keep my attention span for longer than 30 minutes at a time.
