I fail to see how Righty's updating in profiles causes this spark.

Really? I was under the impression that it all started with your post: "Yeah....wll get ready to really miss me because CBn is p*ssing me off so much right now I may just quit the site outright!" If you're going to make a statement like that publicly, then I think you are indeed under obligation to explain yourself further.people were posting stuff about what happened last night without the facts, and jumping to conclusions (ie Jim). I have no obligation to explain myself further when I did explain myself last night to staffers on MSN!

Yeah? Set me (all of us) straight, then, here, in this thread. Not at all!
(Or perhaps this thread ought to be deleted, leaving all concerned with no option but to work out their differences privately, via PM - perhaps that would be better.)

Broadly speaking, I agree with you, although I do have a soft spot for THE LIVING DAYLIGHTS and LICENCE TO KILL. NEVER SAY NEVER AGAIN certainly knocks the stuffing out of the Brosnan era.Its more a real Bond film than anything EON has come out with for the past two decades!

We added Righty007 as a Team member for a specific reason. You want to know WHY he was added. Because we needed a young guy to get our 007Games section in order. And that's what he's working on behind the scenes. So as far as all the complaints about Righty, I think they're unacceptable seeing as (I know we didn't announce this, but do we really have to announce every minute detail?) you all aren't seeing what he's doing behind the scenes. As far as the whole profile idea. It was discussed with the Team and we decided it was a neat idea and we send Righty out to make us lists. So this wasn't a Right wants, Right get and puts it thing. His stuff has to go though the staff, just like all technical stuff like that. What's in the profiles can be changed, they're not final. NSNA can be added to the profile choices. But it take some TIME, as there are other things we're having to address first (including continuous complaints which are hindering us getting on with the growth of this site). NANA is included in the site (the Connery section). So yes, it's something I believes should be added to the profiles. it was an over sight at most. NSNA may not be an official Bond movie, but I see no problem in including it.
If it seems that we don't care about anyone

I'm thrilled that that Righty, Athena and Jim are staff members because it only means that more good things will come from CBn.

For us regular members (as opposed to the hardworking stuff), this is ONLY A WEBSITE, a hobby, a source of distraction and relaxation. Guilt trips, power games, ill will, rudeness and all other unpleasantness should have NO PLACE. Frankly, I think some people are damn lucky they haven't simply been banned - they wouldn't get people bending over backwards trying to be nice and calm them down on other sites.
Those remaining - back to Bond, shall we?

A very fine suggestion Loomis.Well put, Mr A. I hope this is the end of it.

There is almost no reason to why any of us should criticize the staff, because they only do good for the site and are not out to get anyone. I have received nothing but help and good friendship from them.

I'm sorry to hear you are leaving. I didn't always agree with what you said but I respect your passion.
To johnboy007:
It is that kind of post that will make people leave in the first place.
I am sick and tired of people saying NSNA and CR aren't real Bond films.
Major motion pictures starring well known actors playing a fictional character named James Bond are Bond films - whether serious, funny, or whatever.
Why do people say its not a Bond film? Ohhh its not "Official". Bullocks! Fan Ficition is not "Official" Ban that too then!
If this site is going to discuss fan fiction, fan art, and the like - then it better well include James Bond films that are put out by MGM on DVD - which NSNA and CR are - and in packaging designed to fit in with the rest of the series I might add.
If this attitude of "You shall have no God but the all holy Broccoli EON" remains prevalent - then you can count me out of this place as well.
The NSNA/CR issue of 007 was the fastest and biggest selling issue of all time according to Graham Rye - so obviously people are interested in those two films.
If someone is trying to exclude them from discussion or as a favorite film in a profile then they should be the ones leaving - not DLibrasnow.
Censorship is a very dangerous area folks. God if this board had been around in the early 70s I guess I wouldn't have been allowed to talk about OHMSS since EON tried to disassociate itself with that film during that period.
A wise man once said "When something is unloved it makes you love it that much more" I suspect Dlibrasnow is that way about NSNA, and I feel that way about CR.
Anyway, If the improvements on CBn result in losses like Daniel and now Darren - I'd say the losses outweigh the gains so far.
Phew, with all the hurt feelings and bickering, I sure could go for some gratuitous sex and violence. Oh wait...am I allowed to quote from an "unofficial" film?

I love NSNA (except for that Godawful score!) and feel that it is a Bond film. NOT an EON Bond film obviously, but a Bond film.
Casino Royale is also a Bond film. A parody and not a very good one at that but a BOND Parody.
Aren't all of these things discussable?
there are posts about Janet Jackson's breast for goodness sakes, surely NSNA and CR are topics worht discussing.

Who said no one could discuss a non-Eon Bond film? Nobody said that. As far as II hate all this bickering.

First, I'm very upset that Darren is leaving. I love his presence here on CBn, I wish he'd just take a breather, re-think and come back. I miss him a lot.
Second, I'm so totally confused about all this, surely it's all based on some misunderstanding, miscommunication?
Third, the staff at CBn and the members of CBn have been extremely tolerant of me. I'm amazed that I've had no warnings since I joined. So if you're willing to tolerate and be patient with *me*, I'm certain that you've not purposely excluded any Bond films or other Bond discussion topics out of any prejudices. Again, surely this is all based on a misunderstanding?
Just want to say thank you to all the staff -- this is the best discussion forum I've ever participated in.
