We all will I'm afraid. People always hate change, and I'm one of them. I feel like running screaming from the forums right now (or are these actually forums now? perhaps I feel like running from a debrief - whatever one of those is) but shall have to soldier on.Well Matey, it's like having to go back wearing a condom, but I'm sure we'll get the hang of it!.

Do we still get e-mails telling us about our subscribed threads?
You can turn on Email notification as default in your Controls. This will mean any post you create or reply to will send you notification emails.
As for any post you don't post in, you can subscribe to the notifications by using the "Track this Topic" link at the top of the posts in a thread.
You can also subscribe to threads by clicking the link "Subscribe to this forum" from the bottom of a forum page.
You can also then manage all of your subscriptions from with the Control page under the Subscriptions section of the menu.
Did we loose some posts off of our post count because of the new forum? I thought I used to have over 2600 posts.
Unfortunately to reduce the strain on the server for the conversion, we had to delete some forums and posts.
It's pretty cool, nice set up. I was curious if we have lost our buddy list feature. I don't see it in my controls.
It's still there in your Controls. Under Messenger -> PM Bussies/Block List

You'll need to make sure you have a close tag for it.Hi Dave, thanks very much for being so informative about the change and all, I for one appreciate it. I have a question though. In My Controls, it says, you can change the color of the font in your signature, and I've clicked green, and it's showing the command in my sig, but not actually changing the color. Any ideas why?
Thanks.

Best wishes to Dave, Daniel, Evan, Brett, Paul, Barbara, Tim, John and anyone else on the team I may have forgotten to mention.
A fantastic web site. A narcotic, really.

CBN has 2469 members currently. Out of that, over 40% have never posted, AT ALL, and over 70% (including the 0 posters) have less than 10 posts.
What does this all mean? Loads of wasted space lol.
It's only in the last few member pages that the post counts get to the level that shows the person is commited to being an active member, the first 45 pages (out of 50, well 49 and a half (this is with 50 members per page sorted from post count)) have 100 or less posts, and the final 4 and a bit have respectable ones.
Sure you have to have a little leeway for people who just joined, but, looking at the dates, most of the people have never posted and never will.
Why care?
Some of the wasted space have really good names, names people might have wanted when they joined but couldn't all because some [-person-] registered and then didn't post.
I encourage some kind of pruning to be put into action to free up some cool posting alias/handles/whatever and, of course, server space.
Isn't this all interesting? "no we like our delusions of a massive member count thankyou snakeeyes" Ahh well, I tried

Could you post a screenshot of how the forums are appearing to you... then we can investigate further. One thing is for certain, my internet browser is having problems with the new site...
It's nice to see the CBN Girl back. I like the fact that the site seems much more colorful.
Are you using AOL? Righty007 has already said he's having problems using it.

Offending members lose the right to do certain things for a certain period of time - for instance, posting.Oh i see but what if their warning system is full. What happens??
Just a note on the way quotes are "quoted"...
I'm not sure how to explain exactly but when reading through the forums now it seems difficult to decipher between people's new posts and the quotes. the old forum had a blue boarder around the quotes or something like that which made the forums much easier to read. Is there any way something can be done on these new forums to help this?

I'm having the same problem. They're not as neat. It's something we'll try and address. I also don't like the way you can quote quotes, if that makes sense.Just a note on the way quotes are "quoted"...

That's good Blue Eyes, didn't know if you knew or not.I've addressed that issue Qwerty, cheers.
I have one more question, the time is appearing still in "Military Time" on the Forum screen for me, although I think I've set it to my correct time for my time zone, am I doing something wrong?
Ah one more thing, what happened to the 106 umost ever online thing? Will you guys not be adding that up to the new forums?
