However, If I was James Bond (which will never happen), I'd tell Miranda Frost to 'put her back into it' even more...he he he.

But should Bryce live long enough to step down, BlueEyes would make a worthy successor.

Okay, maybe. But only because of that signature banner you have. The Norelco shaver is what did it for me . And remember, the literary Bond only likes to shave once a day .

The best compliment one can receive is from one's peers.
Thanks. Everyone.
One night out with Zencat, during the required shop-talk, Zencat - in the midst of our "Why Moonraker is great" conversation - simply set down his martini and said "You may want to be Bond, but I swear you're Fleming."
Thanks for that one Zencat;)
Now, can we start the petition for Eon and MGM for me for Bond #6?
I want $50K (USD), I'll bring my own assistant (read: "Meow" with an Irish lilt ), and all I require is a trainer and a trailer. I'd give 110% but might end up calling in Zencat to polish whatever tripe P&W have dreamed up.
Anyone want to do my stunts?...Then again, with the right experts, I'm still fit enough to train/learn anything.
Thanks again all. As chapter 36 is coming up on the 25th in this spies life, it's really good to get this kind of praise. Best pre-birthday present I've ever received....Even just in fun.
I'll add some PR shots in a minute.
Thanks.
*smiles*

Just no stalking from the women folk here, as Mrs. Derringer can get quite jealous, unless of course we keep it a secret rendevous

J. Bryce, 003, is who he is, just as 004 is who he is.
I would not want to be Bond, but an individual of my own choosing. An agent witn my own skills and abilities. One who may have worked with Bond at one point or another as a collegue.
A unique individual.
I appreciate John Bryce for who he is. The name alone lends much to his character and his power and ability. Just as I appreciate Joyce Carrington for who she it. (I do not know why, but that has to be the most beautiful name I have every heard. It speaks much for who she is.)
If Bond is the best, the other 00's I have known do not fall short by much!
Keep you weapon loaded and your ice stocked, my good man!
Bond is Bond. He may be the best.
But Bryce is unique. And he is my friend.
Cheers, sir.
For England!

Gosh Matt, that was so touchy-feely, warm and fuzzy . But well said.
Now for the cold hard steel!
Check out the URL. That's me seated over there on the extreme right, second row, looking all pissed off. The real 00* training starts in places like this. We started with over 200, and graduated with about 80. This photo is from Ranger Class 4-81, Winter of '81. There's a couple of real 00 types in the photo, including one who was wounded in the Black Hawk Down incident, several Spec Ops types, and others who you may have seen on TV news parachuting into Afghanistan, but most we will never hear about. Those in the photo who stayed in the various services are all in senior positions now. One is dead, helicopter shot down on the Honduran-Nicaraguan border circa mid-80's.
Cheers,
Derringer

Gosh, I only just noticed you wrote that... Thanks.
The sad thing is, I can't even remember how/when I came up with that name.

I think my daughter is safer with Johnny.
As for you Derringer -- why are you so upset -- or are you just trying to be a tough guy?

Moi, tough ??
Proverbial daughter no doubt. So you must be referring to the degree of womanizing either one of us does, in which case, yeah, your daughter is probably safer with Johhny .
But then if the bad guys start shooting, who would you rather she be with?
As for "upset", nope...just some friendly alpha male competitiveness.
It's great to be a guy!

Bryce, I would have to agree with Zencat, you do remind me of a young Ian Fleming from your photos. You're a very classy fellow.

Derringer and I will compare notes and adventures soon enough. He's a good chap.
Still, I'd love to play 007.....Just not sure what the rest of the world (outside of CBn) would think.
Let's think, the standard screen test has been the Bond meets Tania scene in FRWL and the fight in Tracy's room and Bond/Tracy scene in OHMSS...two of my favorites.
We'll have to see....

I will concede the movie role to Bryce, since I'm not really partial to the cinema Bond. Sounds kinda like "Cinnamon Bun"
Me, I prefer the literary Bond, and actually spend a lot of my travel time with my nose in the books.
Bryce and I, and as of this writing at least one Bond girl, have a martini mission in the planning. Details are still top secret, but we'll provide an after action briefing and pix upon mission accomplishment.
Cheers,
Derringer
P.S. Check out the pics in the "Introducing Derringer..." thread.
