The Moonraker posters cause me to nearly die of laughter. I have to say my favorites are the TLD US one sheet and UK Quad. The Japanese OHMSS where Lazenby has the gun in front of his face isn't bad either. The new ones from about LTK onward don't really do it for me...

Same with me. The one is just like the original Star Wars poster. Moonraker should have never been made.

Nothing can beat the "Advance UK Quad" Thunderball poster.

Really?

While rare, pricey, different and full to bursting with drawn artwork, it is nonetheless a collection of four unrelated designs thrown together with no central theme to hold it altogether.

If ever that was a film crying out for a similar campaign to that of Twice with multiple posters, that was it.

The worst has to be UK quad of TND, a face in front of TVs. You'd think with so little to concentrate on that they'd correctly name Benson and spell Tomorrow from the get go.

I like the earlier ones.... (until Dalton)

... the ones that are drawn artistically are the best, imo. They are sophisticated.... just like James Bond.

the new era ones are rather boring, they are no different than any other action movie poster.

Quite stylish, very different.

For CR they may go back to the style of design of the late 60s/early 70s. Here's hoping.

The more recent posters that stress photos of actors faces are uninspired. The Licensce to Kill poster is by far the worst and least imaginative poster. They were confused in their focus about that film - including even in the title.

I'm hoping we get something really spectacular for Casino Royale. Not the Bond and girls on the side routine we've had lately.

Okay...my least fave poster in the series is easily, DAD's Bond and Jinx US release version. The teaser poster of the gun on ice was far more imaginative. LTK's US poster doesn't bother me as much, though Dalton reminds me of Fred Dryer from the 80s cop show, Hunter in that pose. The ones I like are the British version of GF..the golden Margaret Nolan / Sean and Honor projected on her. I really like OHMSS, as well as most of the Moore era posters, but TSWLM is my favourite. The US one sheet of GE is my favourite Brosnan era with the British version a tie.

Moonraker will always be my favorite. Not only is it the first Bond movie poster I ever saw, but it's the only one I've gone so far as to buy. The detail is incredible -- it's more fun to look at than watching the movie;P.

This has to be the coolest TWINE poster I've ever seen. And the other one, too; I love the blue.

Weakest: Licence To Kill:

There's really nothing to it.

Come on, nothing wrong with any of the Moonraker posters. The only real downside is it leads you to think Lois Chiles got to wear that Drax girl uniform rather than the yellow jumpsuit. :)

While the LTK U.S. poster is weak, it's nowhere near as bad as DAD's, emphasizing close-ups of the stars instead of making it in the Bond tradition. No wonder some people thought it was merely the new Halle Berry movie. I was amused by how one person described it a while back - James Bond and his little sister save the world or something to that effect.

Hmm... It makes me want to time-travel back to 1979 and see the thing in the theater. Action, adventure, humor -- the MR poster (if not the movie) captures it all. So what's the problem?

That Moonraker poster is a close 2nd for me, despite all the piano keys littering the station. :)

The Spy Who Loved Me is my favourite though. I'm a HUGE fan of Bob Peak!

And indeed that Bond wore the NASA spacesuit instead of the yellow thing - but I know where you're coming from.

It's not like I hate the Moonraker poster or anything, it's just that... *snicker* *snicker*
It kinda reminds me of the Tom Petty music video "Don't Come Around Here No More". Everything is very "orbular", and Drax looks like a characature in the background there. Same with Jaws... he's "gliding", lol.

I like the smoking gun Die Another Day poster. The Spy Who Loved Me is probably my favorite. The Man With The Golden Gun is probably my least favorite, too similar to Live And Let Die.

The UK Tomorrow Never Dies posters are far superior to the US ones.

My favourites are the painted types for Thunderball (Look Up! Look Down! Look Out!) and YOLT (walking in the volcano and in Little Nellie (anything with Little Nellie turns my head).

Another favourite is a BSA poster advertising the BSA 650cc Lightning (as used in TB) showing Luciana Paluzzi and the TB bike.

Wasen't it Spielberg who started the trend off in the mid-70s with very simple but powerful images on his posters? Jaws / Close Encounters / The Color Purple / Empire Of The Sun / Hook / Schindler's List / Saving Private Ryan.

And Moonraker had one image unlike the previous films.

The Bonds have two approaches. I'd say the more conservative approach - i.e. the single image will be the one they will go for for CR.

GEYE is the best as it is so classy and elegant and Pierce looks in the poster as if he owns the role.It is sipmly the best.
