I didn't know Season 2 had all those more episodes. :) :)

Yeah, $80 is a bit unreasonable but I'd still buy it. Although sometimes the true price ends up being less than the price stated by sites such as DVDanswers.com.

And even so, that could only be the list price. Loads of stores often make their price much lower, so it's not a huge thing to worry about.

None yet, probably going to wait out a few episodes, so I don't say XYZ is cool, then have them die, or something. :)

Not quite sure on all the names yet, too. :) However the man who seems to run the group is pretty bloody good. :)

So, who watched it last night? I thought it was a great episode, really fast-paced and cleverly executed, and the new boy is superb! What did everyone else think?

While we won't get it here in the states for quite a while, it's reassuring to know that you think the new character is good. I'm still disappointed that Matthew has left the series.

Slight Spoilers folks, so a little space for my fellow Americans who haven't seen it yet...

Just watched it. They are amazingly good at establishing strong characters so quickly. I think the new fellow will hold his own if Tom leaves, but for now it seems to be the four musketeers. It should provide for good transition if (hopefully not) the time comes for folks to leave the show :) . The one thing that bothers me is...how did the new guy know where everyone's bugs were located when the MI5 gang had their secret meeting? :) Unlike last season, they didn't cop out of their cliffhanger. Strong first episode.

I know a little about what's going to happen in this series. If what I know is true, all I can say to you is: prepare for the unexpected.

We find in a later episode that Adam was the one who trained a lot of these guys in tailing and surveillance. I'd guess he expected the lump to be where he'd have taught them to plant it.

While I'm disappointed McFadden's gone, Tom did hog the action a bit and with him out of the way the supporting cast is getting a chance to become something more than wallpaper. Wonder if there's any chance Tom will become a freelancer who'll come into conflict with Harry and Co. in season four?

For those of us in Australia, we've just begun repeats of this last week from the very first episode, Saturday nights at 10:25pm on the ABC.

I just wish they'd hurry up and show the third season!

I think it's going downhill myself. Too much 'character exploration' and not enough spy stuff. Plus some pretty stupid bits- the situation in Israel having to be explained to MI5 staff?

You've got to remember the limitations of audience, though; some people won't understand the whole situation.

As for Season 3, it'd great. The boat/assassination episode was compelling, but i don't think it'll be as good as season 1 (though maybe that's just nostalgia.) Better than series 2, anyway; we don't seem to have any super-intelligent teenagers.

Sat through a couple of episodes on Saturday and enjoyed them. I tried watching this show when it first debuted on A&E but I couldn't get into then. The first episode I saw was when "The Grid" was locked down because of an alleged VX attack and the second episode was when President Bush was coming to England and an MI-5 agent spilt tea in the Secret Service's files.

Fans of this series may be interested to learn that one of the script-writers has just published a spy novel. It is reviewed here.

I also read an interview with him in which he said there was an ongoing discussion about whether to have Spooks novels - though he said he wouldn't be the one writing them.
