I'd definitely read them, given a good author, they could be terrific sellers.

I got the first set at Best Buy, I was surprised to see they had it. I'll hopefully be heading there soon to see if they have Series 2.

Picked up Volume 2 at Best Buy.

Needless to say, my holiday weekend will not be spent studying for Mid-terms.

Great season finale, could not tear my eyes away. Good cliffhanger also, cannot wait for the 3 season.

It was amazing. I was wondering how they'd improve on the Season 1 finale; seems they went above and beyond.

I was actually disappointed by how the first season cliffhanger ended.

/spoiler.gif
Not a big fan of Ellie and the little girl, they grew rather irritating during the season, so them not dying made me angry

Agreed, so...

it was kind of refreshing to not see them hardly at all in the second season.

I wonder why the audio commentaries seem to be more on the sparse side for this set. If I recall correctly, every episode had one in the first set.

Hi, I'm new. I'm from the UK, and i really love Spooks! It's my favourite Tv program. I think it's brilliant! :)

And it's good to talk about it with other fans.

I've seen series 1, 2 and 3, and i am currently biting my nails off waiting for series 4.

Series 1 was billiant, it introduced all the characters brilliantly, and had quick witted, fast paced story arcs. I love the way Jenny's character of Tessa was proved to be this bent character, and i loved the way that Harry and Tess fought it out in the last ep. The cliff hanger had me amazed.

We had to wait a full year before Series 2 started, but it was worth the wait.
The opening was a little dis-appointing, but the rest of the ep made up for it. Ther series introduced 2 new characters as well. I Love Ruth! She's just amamzing! And the cliff hanger again! This show is likey to give me a heart attack. My heart stopped when that shot was fired! Poor Harry! :) I hate Tom for that.

Series 3 was even better than the last two. After yet another year, i finaly got to see that Harry's ok, well if you call a broken arm ok. Oh! And the scence with ruth in the hospital! That was so sweet! And the way that they brought Tom back, and brought in Adam was so cool! I was sad to see Tom go, but i think he had served his time ad it was time for something new. I loved the ep with Harry's Daughter, that was so sweet! You really see a side of him that you've never seen before! Oh and he cries! It was so touching! And the way that they get rid of the 3 characters is amazing! 1 is okay to get rid of, 2 is really pushing it in the same series but 3! I think UK fans will agree! The end of the series was mind-blowing, excuse my little joke there! And is it just me, i hope it's not, but i think, well know that Ruth & Harry are in love with each other! Please don't let it just be me!

In case you didn't notice, i'm so in love with Harry and Ruth!

I love MI-5. Just started watching and after one episode (with the possible Jihad and the agent that was the bad guy and had the ability to hack into any computer he wanted) I'm hooked.

Unfortunately I've been uninterested in the series since Matthew MacFadyen left after season 2.
Go figure. :)

I saw the third episode of series three, then I stopped watching. Matthew was the anchor of the show, and I believe it all just fell apart once he left. Just another action drama.

I'll just wait until the third DVD comes to the states to see it.

I also stopped watching when Tom Quinn left. I thought that episode was really shoddy.
/spoiler.gif
Within the space of 10 minutes, his colleagues alternated between thinking he was being too cold and emotionless for the job to feeling he was getting too involved emotionally with the scientist chappie they were using - it made absolutely no sense. One of the main themes of the show was that these were very clever, able but ultimately normal young men and women, and it showed how they tried to cope with their everyday lives on top of spying for England. Dating problems, committment, etc. But when Tom left, not a single one of them understood his problem, despite them all having been through it to some extent. So I thought it almost invited viewers not to come back, because the central character left feeling disgust and scorn for the soulless mercenaries he'd once thought were his friends. And we - or at least - I, felt that he had a very good point. So the idea of watching said group of soulless mercenaries continue to do their work having failed to learn the lesson of Tom, or indeed even listened to his concerns, was very unappetising. A shame, because it was often a very well-written series. Tom's leaving seemed to me to be very poorly written indeed. End of rant. :)

Poignet, but admitedly badly written. I've often thought it would have been better to leave him as he was at the end of series 2 (they never explained sufficiently how he got out of that predicament...)

But the rest of the season, if you can forgive them culling the original cast over the course of five episodes, was pretty good. Danny and Zoe on the ferry episode was pretty intense.

Anyone know when the UK's gonna get season 3 on DVD.

Ps. how do I do that whole spoiler thing?

^Makes sense. They usually put out the DVD just before the launch of the new series. It's what they did with Hustle as well (another Kudos made programme.) BTW, is anyone in the UK watching that? It's great.

Yep, it's always released a few weeks before the series airs on UK TV. Hustle is on at the moment produced by the same people, Kudos. Good clean fun it is too.

/spoiler.gif
I am hoping that Mcfadyen will come back at some stage, though I don't hold out too much hope. As long as Harry's still there that'll please me. I hope they shake a few things up for series 4 and steer clear of some of the more whimsical storylines that graced the second and third series. Saying that though series three was top notch in parts.
