I'm not saying you can't vent, I'm just saying that not discussing things with the people that can make changes is not going to make things change.

Mind if I take you up on that? I have an Audi TT to buy. Your money would be more than useful.

Oh, and I must really thank Xenobia for working with Righty in my stead while I took care of my personal matters. Thanks Xen. You are a life saver.

This is a nice tribute to all those who helped make the Bond phenomenon what it is.

Too many of them died far too young....

Makes sad reading many of who passed, alot of suicide in those names, but I didn't know what happened to Nick Nak from TMWTGG until I read it.

After a rocky start the suggestion has finally come to fruition. Well done to all involved in its inception.

If anyone else comes up with another high profile candidate for the memorial, please suggest it in this thread, including all the details if possible.

All of this reminds me of 006's comment in GoldenEye about all the stars on the memorial wall at MI6.

Lest we forget.

Very sad to read.

Just thought of a couple:

David Niven B- 01 Mar 1910 D- 29 Jul 1983
Buried - Chateau D'Oex Cemertary Switzerland

Peter Sellers B- 04 Sep 1925 D- 24 Jul 1980
Golders Green Crematorium, London

Also Terrance Cooper from CR is dead but I do not know any details. I think this is mentioned in the book James Bond The Legacy.

If I think of any more I will post them.

Another person who deserves a mention although I do not know any other details is Jonny Jordan the cameraman on YOLT and OHMSS.

Only know he lost his leg during the filming of the YOLT and died while filming Catch 22.

D - 25 Jul 1979

Nice piece of work, righty.
I'm sure there will be some more suggestions, it's impossible to spot them all at first try. Erm..., may I suggest that the Bond films in wich the particular person was involved is mentioned in that listing?

And I have a minor spelling correction: Curd J

Righty...Right proper job! Thanks! And really, all the credit does go to him, I just cleaned up bits here and there. (And evidently missed a few. Thanks for the info Stromberg.)

And BondFinesse, I'd be very careful at seconding guessing the motives of the staff...until you are one, don't speak for us.

Initially, I was only joking. But then, I did a quick search at Ebay myself. Folks, you won't believe what kind of Bond stamps you'll find from countries all over the world: Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, Nigeria, Angola... Gotta visit a collector's shop next week...

Bondfinesse:

As I said in my private message to you, I am sorry this thread disappeared for about seven hours, while I was offline. Had I known the other staffers were going to delete this thread in order to protect me, I would have asked them not to.

I think you are saying things that other members, especially the younger members, might quietly be thinking -- that the staff members don't care, and that we don't want anyone else to be on staff, that we aren't trying hard enough to make this a better place.

To answer that, we are trying. We try every day to make this website better. We give our energy, our time, and yes, even our money, to keep this place not only up and running, but to expand our services as well.

We have the suggestion forum in place so you can help us make this site better, in case we miss an idea or two, like the Memory Wall.

Everyone on staff knew Righty 007 would get the job done, that's why we gave him the go ahead to do it. I didn't mean to imply that I was taking credit for anything. I'm not....I was trying to say that NO THANKS should go to me. My part in the process was very small indeed.

As for letting other members join the staff, as time goes by, we do ask other people to join us. There are many factors involved, and a lot of that has to do with behaving in a respectful and patient manner in the forums. Sometimes that doesn't happen...and unfortunately this thread is one of them.

I hope you understand that I, and none of the other staff members meant you or Righty any disrespect. By that same token, I hope from now on you will give us a fair chance to explain ourselves before you tie us to the pole for a public lashing.

Let's make our peace and move on, OK?

ok first off, this whole thing has gone way crazy, when righty was given this task a couple of weeks ago it seemed to be an impossible task, and i was angry because to my point of view it looked as if they wanted him to do all the work....an that seemed very unfair and i was going to defend him....my thought was if this was such a good idea, then why did it take righty to make it happen all of a sudden?, after all the staff should have made this on the site before now...that was my thinking at the time and because i talk with righty i just wanted to make sure he got a fair shake on this and i dont apologize for that but i am sure that there is some behind the scenes stuff that goes on at cbn that staff have to deal with to keep this site that we all enjoy running smooth, and i am sorry if i made some angry, but i was defending a friend and will never apologize for that.
