Isn't the 'DAD' poster this one...
Posted Image

If 'Skyfall' follows this, I'll be happy as this is a decent Bond poster for the tone of the film and love the ice graphics - you get shots of the main characters and nice action shots with the main stars bursting out the blocks.

Fingers crossed.

thats the UK poster, the American one looks like....

Hey, hey, hey - the QOS poster might have equal colors and the characters in the same outfits. Yet, the main poster is different.

It is the same desighn concept - to suggest otherwise is silly.

This thread has too much DAD pics. I´m getting a bit nauseous :S I´ve been keeping my expectations way up high for SF, but I must admit I have very low expectations for the posters. So far, this film campaign has sucked big time, IMO of course. Still, my expectations are way up, bu then again, I´m a Bond fan, so that may have something to do with it.

I´m sure that is not the final poster. There are no credits on it. Only the release date. It is the 2nd teaser poster.

And concerning the QOS poster - put the character posters against the design of the final poster. As I said, there are similarities and the color scheme is the same. Still, they have different approaches.

Damn...

I have to apologize for being misinformed.

Actually, I only wanted to stir up hope for a great final poster.

I still have it. Hope, I mean.

If the final SKYFALL poster only squeezes the character posters together I´ll be disappointed.

I've got a lot of faith we wont get a rehashed character poster for the final 'Skyfall' poster design. Sure, we may not be fans of the typical character poster, but I reckon the marketing will be wiser than give us that....that's my faith in this film anyway...!

I have to disagree.

I think that's one of the worst posters the Bond franchise has ever produced.

Surely this isn't the final poster. It just looks like an ancillary IMAX teaser thing. But I wouldn't mind something like this, albeit with a bit more going on. I'm tired of the banal "jumble of heads" style that has predominated since GoldenEye, and I'd prefer awkward originality to tedious orthodoxy.

What is more frightening to consider is that someone, somewhere actually got paid for this.

I am curious to know what the minimum level entry criteria is to get into creative marketing these days.

I now feel bad for what I considered positive criticism towards the worst offending of the fan creations, because even these on a bad day would vastly surpass this putrid offering that someone deemed necessary to commit to print.

I wonder if this will be in the new Poster Book. Putting this side by side to the Russia UK quad will, I hope, make heads roll at whatever crop shop they call a studio.

That's exactly what it looks like to me - a preliminary promotional image, an advance sheet, or whatever the terminology is, but certainly not "the poster". It's basically like this:

Posted Image

If anything, it's more visually interesting than it needs to be. I have no idea why people are even slightly upset.

Because it’s one of a series of 6 (yes 6) posters in the same style and they are all utter rubbish, when they needn’t have been.
In the past, such character posters have been an indication of the style of the release poster - fingers crossed this will be different this time.
But, this has made me slightly upset as it makes me fundamentally question the esthetic judgment of whomever it is who is running this poster campaign.

I'm counting the group one and the one of Bond on his back - may god forgive me.

And may God forgive whoever signed it off. Bond flat on his back and Bond with hunched shoulders - superb character studies.

i'd forgotten that other style for DAD - and I suppose if you count the Japanese posters, they had 3 distinktly different lots of character posters for that film.

I would still rather have the 50th anniversary poster if I could, has anyone seen that one for sale anywhere?
