It's really too bad that the design of the poster and the teaser don't match. I hope for the trailer...

Do they ever "match"?

Do you mean that you wish the teaser had been stark, gloomy and black & white, or that the poster had been a psychedelic collage of random images from the production so far?

Which films had - IYO - teasers and posters that "matched"? Not having an eye for composition, theme and juxtaposition myself, I can't comment on what preview campaigns were successful in this respect. I just know that I like some posters more than others (although I collect 'em all) and that I appreciate every morsel meted out in the teaser trailers.

They're different media - in what way/style are they supposed to match?

(And believe it or not, I'm not being facetious here - this is really an area to which I've never given much thought.)

Looking at different poster sites, AllPosters, OnePoster, Play.com, Amazon etc it doesn't seem to be available yet. There are some on ebay (including "autographed" ones, which I wouldn't go near) in various sizes (A1, A3, A4 etc) including some fake fanart posters. I'd wait till they arrive on the main sites to guarantee quality.

If you do buy from ebay, aim only for the double sided posters. These will be the right size and original.

Also, to avoid acute disappointment, only buy from the sellers that look as though they sell posters for a sort of living and not some fluffy girl who normally shifs perfume who finds herself with a poster thingy that she will roll in a little bow for posting.

Yes, and the UK is more likely to be a quad poster format.

It’s just that when spotting a U.K. poster, the quad format is the thing that can really set it apart.

As I am fortunate enough to live in a city with a movie poster warehouse and retail outlet, I was able to get in on the pre-order list for Skyfall.

I got it today. It's just taken the place of QoS in the frame over my book/soundtrack/video shrine shelf.

No real news - I'm just bragging.

I'd be inclined to think that's an unofficial effort, unless anyone knows any better. Either way, I vastly prefer the first gunbarrel tunnel shot; a bit too Terminator/Harvey Dent for me.

Ah, remember guys. We thought the 2nd Quantum of Solace teaser poster was fake, too. Turned out to be real. Not my cup ot tea, really. I wouldn't be surprised at all, though.

The font used for 'Skyfall' isn't correct, nor is the colouring - and the bottom of the poster is clearly taken from the 'official' teaser blurb.

Plus Craig's hair we see is too long for his current Bond cut.

I think it's an old photo, maybe LayerCake, i'm not too sure, but I do recognise it. Amazon needs to be more vigilant when it comes to fakes.
