Hey guys! Hows it going? Anyways, is it just me, or did I have this strange feeling in my stomach after seeing Quantum of Solace for the first time and other times? It sort of felt like awesomeness mixed in with love, because every thing was so considerably good! Its difficult to explain. Do you know what I mean?

Felt something like that at the first screening. But not at the others.

Although I did like the film the first time I saw it, I felt a tad exhausted too be honest. I knew I would need another sceening to take it all in. There was action scene after action scene. Pretty non stop, I thought they could have removed a few of them and added in some more dialogue. I liked it a whole lot more second time around. It flowed a lot better, maybe that’s because I expected them. Anyway, great film.

Happy, contented, knowing I also would need a second viewing especially for the opening car chase, but dreading the prospect of having to hear that song again.
After the second viewing I felt even better because now I spotted everything I should've seen the first time around, and I still liked the movie.
The song didn't grow on me though.

Sounds pretty right to me. For me it was exhilaration and love walking out of the theatre. Each time too, I leave after the movie still feeling thrilled. :(

I wasn't quite as blown away as I was after CR but the strength of the last scene and then the gun barrel to end left me just fine.

I wanted to see it again more than after CR. Primarily because there were a few scenes that I felt I needed one more viewing to judge properly due to the editing (the opera shootout happened a little too fast for me the first time around).

Sorry guys, my first reaction the moment the movie came to close was more like 'Uh... I don't know.' Unfortunately it hasn't changed much after 3 viewings.

It was rare, but after first sawing it, I had a lot of thurst. Fortunately, I went to dinner after the screening and I drank a cold glass of Coke :(

That's a lot better than car oil, I imagine.

I felt awesome after watching it! I was about to scream like a bitch but that wouldn't be good at theater!

And every time I watch the ending, the 5 seconds of black screen and then the GB I feel exactly the same. :(

Pretty much sums up my thoughts. I was a bit underwhelmed after my first viewing, but the second viewing considerably improved my feelings about Quantum of Solace.

I felt absoloutly brilliant. It was such a great film. I can't beat the feeling I got with Casino Royale, though. :(

Pretty much where I was at. I knew that what I had seen was, at the very least, a quality work. But I knew, more than anything, that I needed to see it again. I knew I was missing much.

I left the theater assured that I hadn’t been robbed, but I was more excited about what I’d find during my next viewing than I was excited about what I had just seen.

And now I'm excited again to see the film, since HildebrandRarity's report that QoS's one critical flaw (in my mind) - the dubious boat flip - has been repaired via post-theatrical editing.

I felt like I wanted to see the movie again straight way to re-experience the wonderful time I had watching it the first time round.

Mind you, that's the way I felt after watching all the Bond movies in the cinema the first time.

PS: Re that last comment, which is not quite true. After watching Never Say Never Again in the cinema I wanted to see Octopussy again.

Exactly what I said. But he swears to me that since December, snippets of footage were added to later releases which help to explain the boat flip. (Bond turns hard on wheel, hits the gas, line goes taught, etc).

There's another thread where this all goes down... I'll try to remember where and get back to you.

His review thread. Here: Hilde's Review

Huh... thanks for the link, Judo.

I must say, since Quantum of Solace was released, I've suffered a bit of Bond burnout. Looks like I missed out on this! Looking forward to the DVD.

I felt all warm and fuzzy inside.

To be honest, I still don't know what to make of the movie, plot , villains, action, the amount of speech it had. I just know that everyone had their best acting face on.

Hardly felt staged.

I actually think I felt more satisfied by the end of Quantum than I did with my first showing of Casino Royale.

Just had my third screening tonight. All three times, when I came out I wanted to walk a cool walk and drive my car fast--I wanted to be Bond in a way that hasn't been true since Connery. And tonight I was able to follow parts of the action better, so I felt a little less frustrated from that angle.

But I still found some of the action too frenetic and difficult to grasp, and unlike the director, I don't necessarily think that a Bond film should "go like a bullet." So I wasn't as awestruck by QoS as by CR. I think the richness of the film (and there were many riches, for sure) might have been better served by a little more breathing room.

I first felt annoyingly unsure.
Because I could see a lot that was very good and I wanted to love it, but couldn't catch some scenario elements - such as the circumstances of the Bond-Camille meeting - and felt being lost, I've been taken by surprise by the fast pace in fact.
(Then after some reading here and a couple more viewings I very much enjoyed it eventually, as some said it gets better the second time)

Excitement! That's waht I felt. The film was balanced in a great way, good action scenes. I had the same feeling, but not as intense as the first time, in my second time.

I had a middle of the road feeling - not elated but not disappointed either. Definitely knew I wanted to see it again. Also, after listening to Arnold's score a lot prior to seeing the movie, it did feel good to be able to put the music to a scene.
