I personally don't mind Beam's mustache.

Leiter's "brother from Langley" line means "friend/ally from Langley." Langley is the city that houses the CIA.
THE "BROTHER" LINE HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH HIM BEING BLACK!
I'm not so sure about that. In the script that was floating around before the film came out the CIA agent in the script (back then it wasnt Leiter), introduced himself as "a cousin from Langley."
Just putting that out there.

To be honest I feel it was changed when Wright was cast, but that's just me.

I read the script too and I understand where you're coming from but IMO "brother from Langley" has nothing to do with Wright's race but rather the relationship between the CIA and SIS.It doesnt matter one lick to me, but it does seem to matter to these other posters. I had some knowledge since I was one of the many who read the script, so I decided to put my two cents in.
To be honest I feel it was changed when Wright was cast, but that's just me.

Regarding Beam, he's not left open to return is he?The beard is wonderful, but I felt that the CIA scenes were stolen by Beam's magnificent mustache.
