Anyway: I know how to clear files and cookies on a PC, but how do you go about doing this on an Apple Mac?

To prune unwanted cookies while leaving the ones you want, click on the Safari menu, then Preferences, select Security, then click on Show Cookies. Select the ones you want and press the delete key or click the Remove button (I think you will have to do this one by one).

Trying to hide some dodgy websites from the wife perhaps?
You must be a 00 Agent
If you're using Safari, you can either dump all the cookies and history in one shot by selecting the Safari menu and then clicking on Reset Safari. If, however, you want to selectively remove cookies and history, that is obviously more involved.
To prune unwanted cookies while leaving the ones you want, click on the Safari menu, then Preferences, select Security, then click on Show Cookies. Select the ones you want and press the delete key or click the Remove button (I think you will have to do this one by one).

That's great, thanks darkpath

It is certainly intended to do so; however, I shall have to have my own made up, as my employers have elected to skip over the nicety of issuing such cards.Congrats! Does that title fit on a business card?As of this past Tuesday morning, I took and passed the Apple Support Essentials exam, earning the Apple Certified Help Desk Spec?al?st title.
I suspect, however, that I shall defer having them made up in the hopes of passing the Server Essentials exam before this year's DTBB. I very much prefer the Apple Certified Technical Coordinator title (my current goal).

I'm not going to upgrade my PC OS to Vista. 'em! I'll stick with XP until I convert to a Mac one day.
Did I really say that!?

I'm proud of you.
Hey, does anyone want to purchase an iMac G5? It's part of the original run of the G5's (thus, no built-in iSight. . . sorry). I'm trying to scrounge together some money for a MacBook. It'll be tough having an iMac after graduating from college and not having free internet. So I'll be needing something I can tote to coffee shops, etc. Email me if you want some details.
