I was thinking about getting one of those (product) Red iPod Nanos, does anyone have one or heard anyone's reviews?

If they're out you can probably find reviews on Newegg.com. They've also got a bunch of other iPods and MP3s too. :)

I didn't see this thread when posting about some problems with my Mac. Nice to see Mac users catered for! Been using Macs for 6 years now and haven't looked back.

Anyway: I know how to clear files and cookies on a PC, but how do you go about doing this on an Apple Mac?

If you're using Safari, you can either dump all the cookies and history in one shot by selecting the Safari menu and then clicking on Reset Safari. If, however, you want to selectively remove cookies and history, that is obviously more involved.

To prune unwanted cookies while leaving the ones you want, click on the Safari menu, then Preferences, select Security, then click on Show Cookies. Select the ones you want and press the delete key or click the Remove button (I think you will have to do this one by one).

Cheers,
darkpath 0010

Absolutely! It's one of the three (or four) top events I am looking forward to for this year!
DTBB2 and a personal matter being the others. :cooltongue:

While the iPhone definitely looks cool, I don't have much use for a smart phone. Now, a widescreen touch iPod would be sweet. Word is there is another special event scheduled for Feb 20th. Leopard, iLife 07, & iWork 07, are on tap. I wouldn't mind a 12" MacBook Pro to replace my 12" PowerBook G4 but I'm just dreaming. :cooltongue:

I've been using a Mac since 2002. Up till then, I'd been using various flavours of Amigas. My first Mac was a Summer 2001 Graphite G3 iMac, which worked fine until the flyback transformer died a couple of years ago, so I was reduced to using an external monitor every now and then.

I replaced the G3 with a 1.8Ghz 17" G5 iMac last year, which I picked up for about

As of this past Tuesday morning, I took and passed the Apple Support Essentials exam, earning the Apple Certified Help Desk

Hopefully, my study materials for the Apple Server Essentials exam will arrive this coming week.

Does anyone know of Mac-compatible software and drivers available for the FIOS SIM card reader, or, failing that, a SIM card reader that is Mac-compatible out of the box? I'm looking for something that will let my wife pull 100% of her phone book from her old non-bluetooth Sony

Congrats! Does that title fit on a business card?

It is certainly intended to do so; however, I shall have to have my own made up, as my employers have elected to skip over the nicety of issuing such cards. :cooltongue:

I suspect, however, that I shall defer having them made up in the hopes of passing the Server Essentials exam before this year's DTBB. I very much prefer the Apple Certified Technical Coordinator title (my current goal).

I'm proud of you.

Hey, does anyone want to purchase an iMac G5? It's part of the original run of the G5's (thus, no built-in iSight. . . sorry). I'm trying to scrounge together some money for a MacBook. It'll be tough having an iMac after graduating from college and not having free internet. So I'll be needing something I can tote to coffee shops, etc. Email me if you want some details.

I came across this while getting caught-up on all my Mac news. MacMerc has a t-shirt commemorating Apple's introduction of the 8 core processors in the Mac Pro. It's a James Bond inspired reference to Octopussy. The front of the t-shirt has the saying "Octoprocessy" on it. This is geeky & corny but it I thought it looked great. It's faithful to the original Octopussy logo.
