We sure don't know the same people. I've used nothing but Macs since 1988 and I've never had any serious problems. In fact, I kind of want my now 5-year-old G4 desktop to fail me so I have an excuse to buy a G5. But it just keeps running and running.In fact most people I know who have bought any kind of apple product have had problems and had to send it back; usually with a lot of problems actually getting any action on getting it fixed.
Actually, the only defect I ever experienced was I got one of the first 15 inch PowerBooks and it had a faint white blotch on the screen. I dropped it off at the Apple store and in less than 24 hours they replaced the screen free and even offered to hand deliver it to my apt so I didn't have to drive back to the store. Those Apple Stores are incredible when it comes to customer service. I went there once to buy memory and they gave me an address of a non-Apple Store where I could buy it cheaper.
