If it is too much trouble for you Mister Asterix, would it be possible for members to find non-copyright material and submit avatar art to you - the all you have to do is upload it? Or is that the time-consuming part of the process? I do not really understand these things and I was just wondering about what the problem is? [not wishing to cause nay offence of course]

Hi Mr*,
Hey, pop that lot around mine and I'll cook for you. There's about 5 different meals there I could conjur up for you whilst your pleasing these Guy's who want personal advatar's.
Not too sure what I could use the battery's and the light bulb's for but let's just say 'a bomb suprise'.
Nice list, but what about the 'avatar letter soup'?.
Cheers,
Ian

I was asking about not custom avatars, but just more to add to your range of ones open to the public... I'm only a newbie and do not really see how if other people do the work of making the avatars you can't just put them up when you next update or something? i know i'm new and I don't want to seem like I'm throwing my weight around, I was just curious.

The uploading and checking that the avatars conform to a style is the most time consuming part. When we upload them we upload them in bulk, rather than one at a time.
You will have some more avatars sometime soon, but we have other plans kicking in at the moment, and, frankly, avatars are at the bottom of our list of priorities. Sorry!
