I'm going to try and set up my digital camera to record it too.
Australians: I believe Channel 9 will be showing the episode either on Thursday or Friday at 11:30am. If you know the exact date please clarify it for me

BOB GOEN: When I was reading up on the character, there seemed to be confusion on your part as to whether or not she's a villain or an accomplice. Have you figured it out yet?
HALLE BERRY: I figured it out but I've been sworn to secrecy. Like all the Bond movies, there's a little bit of mystery to it and intrigue and they like to keep that going up until the last. But if I will say one thing about my character, Jinx, she is sort of the female Bond -- if there were a female Bond. I think this is a pretty good equivalent.
BOB: So she can keep up with him?
HALLE: Oh yeah, oh yeah.
BOB: How does she dress?
HALLE: There's a couple bikinis, [with] a particular scene just to pay homage to [the famous URSULA ANDRESS bikini scene from 'Dr. No'].
BOB: Your idea?
HALLE: No, in the script. I wouldn't have wanted to do that, really. How do you relive a moment that is probably one of the most remembered and loved images of any Bond women? Like, why me? Why do I have to recreate that? That kind of scared me, but you know Jinx is a fashionable girl, she's fashion forward and very sexy and takes fashion risks, and I love her for that.
BOB: Clear this up for us: In the states we've gotten all kinds of stories about your eye injury [during a helicopter stunt]. We've heard everything from a speck of dust to shrapnel the size of a charcoal briquet. What really happened?
HALLE: Well, I wouldn't say it was a speck of dust or shrapnel. It was somewhere more along the dust lines, though it was something that blew in my eye and probably scratched across my cornea. And if anybody's had a scratched cornea, it's not serious -- it's just really painful. For insurance reasons, I had to go to a hospital. I got eye drops and within hours I was better and back to work. That was it. It was great how it got blown out of proportion.
BOB: Now, obviously you're going to have some love scenes with Pierce. After the love scene with BILLY BOB [in 'Monster's Ball'], this has got to be a piece of cake, huh?
HALLE: Every love scene from now on will be, after that. You can't ever top that. I don't think it's possible. I don't really see a reason to ever go that far again. That was a unique movie. That scene was special and pivotal and needed to be there and it would be a really special script that would require something like that again.
BOB: Have you noticed a definitive change since you won the Oscar [for that performance]?
HALLE: Yeah, I really have. Life feels different, and not so much Oscar, but it just feels like I'm different because of the whole experience. I've grown and been enriched and feel more empowered and more excited about the future. For me, [as] a black woman, this is just the beginning, because now the door is open.
BOB: How does a James Bond film fit into the [Oscar] picture?
HALLE: People love James Bond. Being in a Bond movie right after winning an Oscar is the best thing I think I can do. It's a big movie around the world, it's splashy, it's exciting, it's sexy, it's provocative, it's fun and it will keep me still out there after winning an Oscar. I can assure myself I'm not going to fall off into obscurity after that grounding achievement.
Oh and alfie you must realize that ET is covering Halle Berry because she is American, and ET is an AMerican program. They know that this is a bond movie, but for ratings sake use Halle, a recent Oscar winner, to grab peoples attention. Of course i'm sure the british media pays alot more attention to Pierce!

Halle sure fills out a dress nicely.
Can't wait for the actual segment to be posted.
Hint, hint.

john007 (25 Apr, 2002 04:14 a.m.):
Yeah, i did think it happened in the first 5-10 minutes of the show. It also seemed a bit shorter than the other one. It had Halle Berry opening up saying " Hi ET and welcome to the set of Die Another Day" Then Mary Hart said "Berry, Brosnan, were on the set of the new 007" During that it had a shot of Halle looking up and Pierce looking sideways and a quick shot of the picture with Rosamund in it. There was also the shot of Pierce and Halle walking towards the camera, like in the picture on the news article. Then it went to seeing Halles fashions and showed her and Bob Goen standing outside the biodomes, then went back to her wearing the dress and then back to the back of her leather outfit. it ended with them saying they'de report on Halle's eye injury and Bob Goen saying "What happened to your eye and the circumstances" or something like that! I guess we'll have to wait till tomorrow to see the whole report. I have a feeling this is gonna be a main topic on their show tomorrow! When they preview it for two days then its gotta be! Until tomorrow...
It is a Halle Berry special, a Bond girl special, not a Bond special, not to mention Brosnan (or Bronson, ugh!)Is she the only one who get hurt? Is she the only one who gets the interview? Is Bond the one who is in the background to become part of the set ??

(At least I assumed it was her).
This scene looks great, bigger than what I had thought the room would have been. Reminds me of the scene in TSWLM where Bond meets XXX in a bar before Jaws kills the chap in the telephone booth.

Another quote from Halle was "Hello James, your not just here to see the penguins" or something very close along those lines.
I think she made a crack about Bond being in a "penguin suit" (i.e., tuxedo).
From the brief glimpses I got, the Ice Palace *does* look amazing... but, as has been mentioned before, shouldn't it be damn cold in there?

Blonde hair, pulled back. Low cut white dress I think, with a white fur shawl of sorts.

Hey, what are you a Red Sox fan? Let's not be
insulting my Yankees. ;-)
But yeah I noticed that and winced... but that's Mary Hart for you, the anti-brain trust.
