I'm astonished that even 22 people would say that Brosnan didn't make one that they liked yet. His first three are excellent, (that's right, I love TWINE) and Die Another Day is actually pretty good too.

Goldeneye and Tomorrow Never Dies remain tied for me. I adore both entries.

I agree. Both are excellent movies and both are in my top ten (GoldneEye: 6, TND: 9). B)

I voted for The World Is Not Enough.
It was the first movie that i visited in the cinema.
And that magnificent boat chase made me a James Bond fan!

Same for the Cavar Factory scene. I love the action.

Golden Eye is the second best Brosnan for me.
Great story and wonderful performances.
Famke Janssen is our Dutch Hollywood actress!
Pierce did a good job.
He gave Bond his own touch and personality.

It's still Goldeneye for me, but I do enjoy the rest, although DAD is the worst of all the Bond movies.

Goldeneye was amazing on the big screen back in 1995. Bond was back, and back with a great movie with all the elements that we wanted.

TND was a worthy 2nd movie (although could have done with less machine gun fire at the end). TWINE has the best PTS of all of them.

I liked Goldenye and The World is not Enough equally, so I voted TWINE because I knew it wouldn't get too much in the way of votes.

Sadly people don't seem to like TWINE, im not sure why, it has a great feel and bond mood the whole way through. It had the best short scenes in any Brosnan movie like when he says "Bond, James Bond" going up the elevator, probably one of the best "Bond, James Bond" lines ever. Also the part with the glasses that can see through clothing and he makes that big bodyguard look like a fool wile grabbing a martini, very slick and old school 007!!! Loved the theme song also and the skiing scene.

I loved all the Brosnan films apart from DAD which I barley just liked.
But still I grew up with Peirce being 007 and for me he will always be the real James Bond in my eyes.

I'm shocked, I didn't think GE had had much over the rest of them.

Personally TWINE got my vote

The most fun Bond since OP.

For me it's GoldenEye. TND is a fun film and certainly places second, but I prefer GoldenEye. My only real, big issue with GE is the women. Yes, we get it, you're trying to assert this is how Bond will work post Cold War. Women will be stronger, more independent, etc. But sometimes it goes a little too far.

Yeah agree about the woman... in DAD they jumped right over the line with stupid Jinx and Miranda Frost. I think TWINE had a decent villain in Elecktra she had more a of a strong personality than physically so that was ok.

Well, they overcompensated but I don't mind that. And I can't complain about lovely Natalya. I'd like to show her some "standard operating procedures" and then throw in some non-standard ones too.... B)

DIE ANOTHER DAY. The last time the Bond series was truly FUN. IMHO.

Now all we get is this terrorist crap, and an unattractive, talentless lead.

I have to say it really irritates me that this Brosnan poll includes the option of "He has yet to make one I like." I find that patently unfair and prejudicial of the one who created the poll. Whether or not one actually feels that is the case is irrelevant. I don't see that option on any of the other Bond actors' polls--including Dalton's and Craig's who have done less films than Brosnan and, as a result, are just as likely, if not more likely, to qualify on that score in the opinions of some people on this forum than Brosnan's four films.

Consequently, I think the option should either be removed or added on all the other Bond actors' polls. Why should Brosnan be the only one saddled with this option?

While I admit I didn't choose that option when I voted (I voted for TND btw). This poll was created while Brosnan was still the Bond of record, so we all thought he would make some more Bond films, no one knew DAD would be his last at the time. And as for why that option was put there by Zencat (I believe, I could be wrong) is because the thread was started before a poll was added, and a lot of people were already saying that without that option in place, so he added it just to give those people an option to choose.

I just watched Goldeneye last night, and I have to say that it is the best Brosnan Bond. But I was painfully aware that Brosnan is neither hard nor edgy in the role. His films are a lot closer to the Moore era than any others. And yet, Moore filled the suit much better, if you ask me. But I digress.

Goldeneye is a great film, and I especially love the scene(s) where Natalya is trapped at the rapidly destructing lab - she's actually a really great Bond girl. The opening sequence is really breathtaking, and the film moves at a pretty breathless pace. And Tina Turner's title song, as well as the opening titles, are fantastic.

But two things keep the movie from achieving complete greatness: the horribly inept and hack-nyed Joe Don Baker (Mitchell!), and Eric Serra's completely wretched soundtrack. It takes balls to make the opening Bond theme an utter mess, but he does it. Two exciting scenes that should have been scored accordingly -- Bond's first car chase with Onatopp and when Bond and Natalya are trapped in the helicopter -- are instead backed up by what sounds like the soundtrack to Double Dragon on the Nintendo Entertainment System. And I don't know who the hell thought it was a good idea to let him sing a song for the end credits, but his voice is incredibly off-key and insanely grating. I have to say, Goldeneye has the worst (and most dated) soundtrack of any of the Bond films.

GE for rebooting the franchise and TWINE for its unusual character dyanmics.
