But in the PC version sometimes Bond wears gloves during the cut scenes, and not during the actual game !
Really sucks !

Is night fire their first out game cinematic game? The only other games by gear box I know of is the half-life series.

What Gearbox did is brilliant. Why? They made the first (?) Bond PC game. Okay, it was rushed, but it was well received financially. Next time, they'll probably get a bigger budget, a better time frame, and put out a better game.
Why did they do well? I feel the ensured another Bond PC game.

I agree with Blue eyes. I know to some people details are everything.. but when ur dodging bullets.. you dont really pay attention to your cuffs..
If you really want to be picky. Notice the screw in the secret bunker, its inside out.
The only really neat thing I did notice is that the watch actually works
Im glad to see this detail! We can finally figgure out what Bond's off hours are

Really? I thought the game had a somewhat 'its done' feeling to it
Drake dies.. Rook is dead.. Kiko too.. so.. .. its not like we have a Harry Osborn to follow in his father's footsteps... :/
But.. Then again.. it aint a movie.. Its bond.. a sequel doesnt necessarily mean part 2... it could be a hole other story

Its not the first time a pc game was booted on a console.
I know that Gunmetal was for pc but I only saw it on for XBOX @ EB. Buffy The Vampire Slayer for XBOX was originally for PC aswell..
I can understand why they release on consoles instead of pc.. but they should say something on their website about the posibility of being transfered to another platform.. so we dont get our hopes up and 3 days before its release it gets transfered to another platform
It would be nice if they could release it on every active platform (as in the are still 'kicking' the video game generation..). Then everyone's happy

Yay!
That game looked awesome.
I'm still shocked about Microsoft going into the console buisness... They really want to get their hands on everything related to computers.. dont they...
Ok.. Wish List for PC Night Fire 2...
Vehicles
Vehicles
Vehicles
Vehicles
Longer SP Campaign
Vehicles
Ability to hold all weapons (like in mp).
Console weapons.. (the golden gun was on console I believe..).
Oh. Can't forget those vehicles

several Bond games have been released for the PC indeed... however this was in the 80's ! They made Licence to Kill, A View to a Kill, even Goldfinger and the Spy Who Loved Me... Many of these games were not good but Licence to Kill was great.
So Nightfire is NOT the first Bond game for the PC; however it's true that it's the first PC CD game...

I just said I havent seen any other bond games. Mostlikely due to the fact it was in the 80's (as u mentioned).. would probably mean it was a dos game... which is imposible to find these days... well.. I havent seen any dos games in a loooonnnnngggg time

You'd think that someone who actually has a license to kill would have good aim.. Though.. some guns need 2 hands.. I'm guessing anything above a pistol. :/

But a golden eye game sounds too big to be a 'mod' (maybe a TC? (mod but its total game conversion into whatever.).
I liked the movie but I had the n64 game but havent played it much. Was more into zelda majora's mask and mario64. (there's another thread on here with what happend to my n64.. basicly, I had it for a week before it shorted out so I couldnt try the other games..)
I would love to see the golden gun (I heard its a awesome weapon in GE64).

Wouldn't ea only need to buy the rights for another bond game from MGM? Even if its rare that made the golden eye game.. This would be another game on the same theme (Bond).
There are many star trek games out there from many different companies (though these days its all activision.. ). I'm pretty sure they only needed to get permition (i.e buy a contract) to make a star trek based game.
I think its the same with movies. If you want to make a movie out of a book, you'd need the author's (if still alive, if not, I believe it goes to his family) permission to do it.
So MGM has the permission from who ever wrote the bond books (im afraid I don't know his/her name). Now the games get permission from MGM (who got it from the author) to make a game.
Chances are that they (in this case, if its EA who makes a GE game) would work with Rare on this project. Depending if EA is smart (it would be a good idea to work with someone who also made a popular game)...
I'm guessing they would have to work together.. Like the N64 GE game looked like most of the movie was in there (from what a friend tells me). .. So if EA made a GE game aswell.. they'd have to work on some of the same aspects as the n64 version.
Like, lets say, if N64 GE followed the complete movie (as in, you would actually be 'playing' the movie), then EA would kinda cross paths with that game too.. (cause if its to be based on GE.. and rare made GE to be like the movie.. then where does this leave EA?).
I've decided to stop now.. cause I don't want to get ahead anyone.
actually, I just lost myself in here.. so if you can understand it.. good for u
