I'm still trying to find the film order for LALD. If anyone has it please post it.

Enjoy!

Here is the chronological track order for LALD:

15, 1, 16, 4, 14, 3, 6, 7, 5, 18, 9, 19, 10, 20, 2, 8, 11, 12, 21, 13, 22, 17

I had to divide some of the source cues up and seperate them from their original tracks to get the correct order, but those small differences shouldn't detract from the listening experience.

EDIT: Sorry guys;, I messed up big-time on my original post, leaving out a couple of tracks that are essential to the listening experience.

Does this mean that the YOLT gunbarrel is not on the disc? Or is it included in the bonus track "James Bond in Japan"?

I will be happy to list what edits need to be done to YOLT to present it in film order. It seems my plans for tomorrow have been totally ruined (damn you, Staples!!) so it seems I should be able to get the album done tomorrow.

Outstanding, Neil... now how 'bout one for Diamonds Are Forever and Live and Let Die?

Considering Thunderball and On Her Majesty's Secret Service are not complete... this could be a challenge! :)

As far as I can tell, OHMSS and DAF do not require any editing to be assembled into film order. If you really want to be a completist, I guess you could cut up the last track on DAF] but what would be the point? As an album, that last cue works very well. There are other posts in this thread detailing the track order for these 2 albums.

I'm looking into doing Thunderball next. I already have a partially complete album, utilizing the original album and the 21 minute suite from the 30th anniversary album. I think all I really need to do is plug in the new tracks from this new album. I'll let you all know as soon as I'm done with that.

As for LALD, I'm not that familiar with the movie or the score, so I don't know really what cuts would need to be done. "Doubleshot" has a pretty good list for this, so that's what I'm using.

"Tanaka's World" in YOLT was slated 4M1, which places it for
when Bond and Tanaka first meet, probably in his underground lair.

Thank you, Lukas. I hope you don't mind the little re-sequencing I did of your album. :)

Do you know what that little music is at the end of "James Bond - Ninja" and that other short section just before the "human torpedo" music in "James Bond in Japan"?

Mr. Kendall,

I'm so glad you've made an appearance at these forums. Thank you so much for your work on these releases, THEY ARE INCREDIBLE and every bond fans dream come true! Ever since I was a kid, I've wanted everyone of these newly released cues, and on top of that, the remastering job is top notch. Thanks again!

Lukas, welcome to the CBn forums. :)

Despite what some (who claim to be Bond experts) may say to the effect that you didn't do enough with some of the CDs, whether out of jealousy or spite or both, I for one am very glad that you have managed to find what time, energy and expense you were able to muster in putting these excellent CDs on the market.

Bravo!

Hi Guys!

Thanks for your nice words, although really, I was just a contractor
on this for EMI and MGM.

The last piece of music on "James Bond -- Ninja" was slated to
appear there...I forget the reel and part number but I will be writing
about these scores for an upcoming issue of FSM, the magazine I publish
(see the web version at www.filmscoremonthly.com). Keep in mind none
of the cues were titled...we did not have any written music to work
from, just the reel and part numbers (i.e. 1M1 is the first piece of
music in the first reel). The titles given to the previously unreleased
tracks were made up by me although I tried to make them as simple
as possible. That little "coda" seems to be a musical gag for
the volcano exploding, as my engineer recognized it as a Gilbert
and Sullivan reference, something like "Hot time in the old house tonight"
(forgive me G&S fans for mangling this).

The little piece of music inside "James Bond in Japan" was intended
for the end of the cue where Bond's "corpse" is brought inside
the sub, I think on the cut inside the sub, to the point where Bond
is unzipped.

best,
Lukas

Guide to Cutting and Sequencing the expanded Thunderball
by Neil S. Bulk

1. Gunbarrel and Chateau Flight 2:52
"Gunbarrel" comes from the first 21 seconds of track 13.
I then did a fade between "Gunbarrel" and "Chateau Flight".
The final edited cue clocks in at 2:52.

2. Thunderball - Tom Jones 3:03

3. The Spa 2:42

4. Traction Table 1:31
This cue comes right after "Gunbarrel" on track 13.
I faded it in quickly, so as not to lose the sax in the beginning, but to get rid of the fade out of the "Gunbarrel".
I also added some silence at the end of this track.

5. Switching the Body 2:48

6. Gassing the Plane :56
This cue comes right after "Traction Table" on track 13.

7. The Bomb 4:20
This is the second part of track 5, from the 1:23 minute mark until the end.
The first part of the cue will be used later.

8. Car Chase 1:54
This cue comes right after "Gassing the Plane" on track 13.
Most of this cue is unused. Just for fun, watch it with the film playing. It syncs up perfectly. It starts right on the shot of Count Lippe after Blofeld orders his execution.

9. Bond Meets Domino 3:49
This is the first 3:49 of track 14.

10. Thunderball 3:57

11. Cafe Martinique 3:45
On the old CD this cue was mistakenly called "Cape Martinique".

12. Shark Tank :59
This cue comes right after "Bond Meets Domino" on track 14.

13. Bond Below Disco Volante 4:05

14. Search for Vulcan 2:28

15. Lights Out for Paula 1:52
This cue comes right after "Shark Tank" on track 14.

16. For King and Country 1:36
This cue comes right after "Lights Out for Paula" on track 14.

17. Street Chase 3:23

18. Death of Fiona 2:31

19. Finding the Plane / Underwater Ballet 1:51
This cue is the first 1:51 of track 16.

20. Bond with SPECTRE Frogmen 3:34
This cue comes right after "Finding the Plane / Underwater Ballet" on track 16.

21. Leiter to the Rescue 1:37
This cue comes right after "Bond with SPECTRE Frogmen" on track 16.

22. Bond Joins Underwater Battle 4:36
The first 1:23 of this track comes from the first 1:23 of track 5, "The Bomb".
The second part of this cue comes right after "Leiter to the Rescue" on track 16.
I faded out "The Bomb" and mixed in "Bond Joins Underwater Battle" around the 1:21 mark.
The final cue runs 4:36.

23. Underwater Mayhem 5:06
This is the first 5:06 of track 17.

24. Death of Largo 3:00
This cue comes right after "Underwater Mayhem" on track 17.

25. End Titles 2:13
This cue comes right after "Death of Largo" on track 17.

After this, there are various versions of "Mr. Kiss Kiss Bang" that can be included, but I'll warn you, they will not all fit on one CD. I did make a 2 CD set, but I'm not sure I'm entirely happy with it. The new album doesn't have the Dionne Warwick or Shirley Bassey renditions, and I'm not entirely sure that they are really missed. Experiment and have fun.

I would like to thank "GuruKenn" from the alt.fan.james-bond newsgroup for doing the initial editing and cue placement and I'd also like to thank John Cork for the unusually copious chapter stops on the CAV Thunderball deluxe laser disc box set. They both made making this edit of the album very easy.

4. Golden Girl 2:08

5. Alpine Drive - Auric's Factory 4:28
This is the remaining 4:28 of the track.

6. Death of Tilley 2:02

7. The Laser Beam 2:52

8. Pussy Galore's Flying Circus 2:45

9. Teasing the Korean 2:17
