Whoa, Sela Ward would've been awesome...particularly for that role b/c she's a very subdued actress

Also, Sigourney Weaver in the late 70's/early 80's. She would have been fantastic either as a completely new (tough) Bond girl, or as Anya Amasova.

Elizabeth Hurley is more a Miss Moneypenny than a Elektra King. No god please , that can't be true that Darryl Hannah was considered for Christmas Jones. This was after she was dumped by JFK.jr.Originally posted by iceberg
Don't know if this is true, but I heard Elizabeth Hurley was the first choice for Elektra King. Personally, I'm glad Sophie Marceau got the role, due largely to Michael Apted's campaigning. Liz screams "BAD GIRL" from the get-go. Sophie was more subtle. But Liz would still make a great outright villainess, rather than a mysterious woman with suspect loyalities and hidden motives (as Sophie played the role).

her dark, exotic beauty. I think she would have made a much more interesting Domino or Tiffany Case.

And Mr Kidd, where do you get off pretending to me that there was something wrong with your wisdom teeth, so that I'd be distracted?
That was a nasty exercise.

No you must be joking. Base on what . Bonnie and Clyde or the original "Thomas Crown Affair". I never thouhgt much of her as a actress.Originally posted by PaulZ108
Faye Dunaway would have been nearly perfect as Tracy...

The right girl played Tracy, in my opinion. Now Faye could've played a Miranda Frost-type character in her day.

Sharon Stone was considered for Elektra. Michael WIlson thought
people would Imediatelly know she was the Villian so they offered
Elektra to Sophie.

No she was never in the running for a role in DAD. It was Halle Beery and the Irish singer Samantha MumbaOriginally posted by antonio damas
I think Whitney Houston is the first choice in the leading role of jinx jordan in the movie "Die another Day".

Maybe it was just a rumor, but I can back him up in that Whitney Houston's name did come up in connection with DAD early on. I remember because I cringed at the very idea. Whereas Halle Berry had time off to attend the Oscars, Whitney would have been just wandering off and snapping at everybody in her path. If they let her sing a theme song, fine, but keep her away from the set.

Either that or look for her drug-addicted husband. Whitey Houston has not talent beyond singing .And that's almost dried up. It's too bad Johanna Pettit was not a real Bond girl. She was quite lovely.Originally posted by Turn

I'm proud that in the latest bond movie "die another day", a filipino-british woman has landed a role as the bond girl.

Actually, I read Sharon turned down the role of Elektra. I really wish she had not. That would mean Sophie Marceau would have been the Nuclear expert.
Sorry and no disrespect to you pack of Denise Richards cultists out there (KeVrichardson, iceberg, Bondfinesse7, Brendan7, et al) because I totally respect your opinion, but Wild Thang girl was miscast. She gave it her best shot, and was not as crappy as popular opinion would lead you to believe. But homegirl Denise was just a little in over her head.
Water under the bridge. Memo to EON producers: When casting roles, think with the head furthest from the ground.
