There are some women in my opinion ,who just should have been in Bond Films . Here are a few that i feel would have made a great difference in the series . Julie Christie ( passed over for Domino because her breast were to small) . Gina Lollabrigida ,Catherine Deneuve , Raquel Welch , Brigitte Bardot ( to me ideal for Tracy ). Does any one have any more.

Yes , i remember that Diana Ross was consider for LALD . That would have kill it for me , she was not what i envisioned Solitare too be . In fact i would be hard pressed to find a "Actress of African Decent"( that a nice Politically Correct term) to play her then (1973) or today .

Never confirmed this, but would have loved to see it.

Sela Ward as Paris in TND.

I'm pretty certain she was approached for the role at some point.

Whoa, Sela Ward would've been awesome...particularly for that role b/c she's a very subdued actress

As has been stated before, Catherine Deneuve would have been great.

Also, Sigourney Weaver in the late 70's/early 80's. She would have been fantastic either as a completely new (tough) Bond girl, or as Anya Amasova.

Actually, they were originally hoping to cast Brigitte Bardot alongside Sean Connery in OHMSS. Well, we all (unfortunately) know that never happened but the pair went on to star in SHALAKO (along with Honor Blackman).

I'd also like to add the beautiful Claudia Cardinale to the the list.

Don't know if this is true, but I heard Elizabeth Hurley was the first choice for Elektra King. Personally, I'm glad Sophie Marceau got the role, due largely to Michael Apted's campaigning. Liz screams "BAD GIRL" from the get-go. Sophie was more subtle. But Liz would still make a great outright villainess, rather than a mysterious woman with suspect loyalities and hidden motives (as Sophie played the role).

According to Xen, Darryl Hannah was considered for Christmas Jones (dammit! dammit! dammit! dammit! dammit! dammit! dammit! dammit!)

Elizabeth Hurley is more a Miss Moneypenny than a Elektra King. No god please , that can't be true that Darryl Hannah was considered for Christmas Jones. This was after she was dumped by JFK.jr.

I always thought that Martine Beswicke, who had small roles in FRWL & TB would have made an awesome LEAD Bond girl. I have always admired
her dark, exotic beauty. I think she would have made a much more interesting Domino or Tiffany Case.

How about Cynthia Nixon? maybe not?

And Mr Kidd, where do you get off pretending to me that there was something wrong with your wisdom teeth, so that I'd be distracted?

That was a nasty exercise. :)

Diana Rigg was perfect for Tracy. The character was supposed to be a fiery, troubled free spirit. Though I love Faye Dunaway, I think she might have been a tad too cool, almost icy, for the role. It's her aura.

The right girl played Tracy, in my opinion. Now Faye could've played a Miranda Frost-type character in her day.

Sophie Marceau was orginally considered for Christmas Jones and
Sharon Stone was considered for Elektra. Michael WIlson thought
people would Imediatelly know she was the Villian so they offered
Elektra to Sophie.

I think Whitney Houston is the first choice in the leading role of jinx jordan in the movie "Die another Day".

No she was never in the running for a role in DAD. It was Halle Beery and the Irish singer Samantha Mumba

Maybe it was just a rumor, but I can back him up in that Whitney Houston's name did come up in connection with DAD early on. I remember because I cringed at the very idea. Whereas Halle Berry had time off to attend the Oscars, Whitney would have been just wandering off and snapping at everybody in her path. If they let her sing a theme song, fine, but keep her away from the set.

I would have loved Linda Fiorentino instead of Teri Hatcher. Or someone else with talent.

Either that or look for her drug-addicted husband. Whitey Houston has not talent beyond singing .And that's almost dried up. It's too bad Johanna Pettit was not a real Bond girl. She was quite lovely.

I'm proud that in the latest bond movie "die another day", a filipino-british woman has landed a role as the bond girl.

Actually, I read Sharon turned down the role of Elektra. I really wish she had not. That would mean Sophie Marceau would have been the Nuclear expert.

Sorry and no disrespect to you pack of Denise Richards cultists out there (KeVrichardson, iceberg, Bondfinesse7, Brendan7, et al) because I totally respect your opinion, but Wild Thang girl was miscast. She gave it her best shot, and was not as crappy as popular opinion would lead you to believe. But homegirl Denise was just a little in over her head.

Water under the bridge. Memo to EON producers: When casting roles, think with the head furthest from the ground.

Sharon Stone would have made a great Bond villiness for Dalton in the early 90's . I could not see her a Christmas Jones (thank god) . One it would mark the return of Lois Childes sister (remember Dr. Holly Goodhead ). Plus see is too eldely too star in a Bond now. Kristian i fail to see the logic behind dislike of Denise Richards . So was not in over her head. Have you really watch Sophie Marceau 's performance . The bitch was wacky.
