I prefer my Bond films to be cool, with believable characters, and bigger then life people. Not Mary Goodnight, who is not clever enough to participate in the paralympics, or Stacey Sutton, who knows as much about Geology as my grandmother, or Sheriff Pepper, whose claim as a Bond character is as weak as Woody Allen's

And then there was Mary Goodnight.  Scatterbrained and absolutely ridiculous.  How on earth could she possibly be working for MI6?
And Nick-nack, the pint-sized man.  Watching him fight Bond at the end was just painful.
The best gadget Bond had was possibly the third nipple.  Oh dear.
The Bond song was awful too.
What a disgrace.  This is the worst Bond film I've ever seen.

I agree with a lot of your points Digitarius...of all the Roger Moore 007 movies TMWTGG is probably the weakest. However, my reason for believing this is the shoddy production design values.

Damn, DLibrasnow took my one flaw I have with this film. It looks like it's made on the cheap. Other than that though, I love this film land it's probably one of my favorite Moore films, after AVTAK (thats rightDLibrasnow, we think alike on Moore) and probably Moonraker.

:) It does look cheap, it looks like a lot of the sets are made of carboard and plywood. I'm glad I am not alone in not liking the production design...

I'm also happy that you like AVTAK which is a personal favorite of mine. :)

I much prefer LALD and TMWTGG to any of the later Roger Moore Bonds. He was much Leaner and Meaner, wasn't so smug as he later become, the huge flares and collars were under control and he didn't look too old!
Besides I have always thought the TSWLM overated. It was made better as YOLT

I cannot agree. I think they corrected a lot of the flaws with YOLT when they made TSWLM.

I'm sorry, it was the sixties. The space race was at its hight. Barry did the music (no disco ****). Every set was a Ken Adam masterpiece culminating in the Volcanoe. It was set in Japan. Freddie Young's photography (He did Lawrence of Arabia!!!) Peter Hunt was still editing the series. And above all Connery. No contest

TMWTGG is honestly one of my faves...

great moments...

locations! music! bond sleeping with a woman with one in the closet! christopher lee! some great one-liners! one of the more interesting stories in my opinion. also, moore at his best in my opinion. of course there are many downsides to this movie, but these are some major plusses.

Well said. YOLT is infinitely superior to TSWLM (although that doesn't mean that TSWLM isn't entertaining stuff in its own right).

We disgree Loomis...TSWLM is one of the best of the entire series. I think YOLT is one of Connery's best sure but it is nowhere near as good as TSWLM.

This movie sucks. :) Even though it has Chistopher Lee :) But the cartoony music in the car jump ruined it, defintly :)
