Get 'em while you can - Netflix and other services have already killed video rentals. By the time B25 comes out, home video may only be available as downloads.

Plus... more people liked Skyfall better...
It looked like almost everyone liked that movie and probably wanted to own it, I don't think that's the case with Spectre.

I'm with AMC Hornet. By 2019 (when Bond 25 would be released on home market assuming they stick with the 2018 release for the film in cinemas) digital may well be the only films/tv are released on home markets, Already DVD/blu-ray marketing is being pushed as something just for collectors.

I have mine already, so probably going to watch it tonight!
I went for the steelbook edition.

DVD and Blu-ray aren't going anywhere anytime soon. In order for physical media to completely disappear in the next three years, internet speeds are going to have to increase significantly. Even if they increase enough in metropolitan areas for that to happen, removing the physical media from stores would basically be telling people in large stretches of the country (in the US anyway), that they're SOL because internet speeds in rural areas and some suburban areas where the better high-speed services have yet to be installed can range from barely adequate to abysmal. COMCAST, Verizon, Google, and the other companies are not going to make that much progress in three years to completely kill off physical media.

Good to know.
Like with my books & music, I prefer hard copy. A catalogue or playlist isn't the same as a collection.

Yup - isn't going anywhere just yet. The precursor to that would be the disappearance of CDs.
And they are still around.

Entertainment stores are reporting a record rise in Blu-ray, DVD, game and CD sales. Which is good.

I'm glad to hear this. When I was a teenager I worked in Virgin Megastores, unfortunately we lost our jobs due to the digital era. Nice to see there is still a wide appreciation of the physical media.

Interesting - but probably misleading. Seems like the article includes supermarket chains (who only offer the most mainstream things like the new ADELE record). All the big stores had to close in most major cities around the world, and the small ones targeting special audiences scrape by, as far as I know.

Watched it with my wife on Friday night - the first time for her.
She really liked it, said it was a good Bond movie. She missed Judi Dench and Javier Bardem.
She thought that Madeleine Swann was a baddie until right at the end. Interesting to get different points of view on the movie. She loved the action and the outfits too.

Interesting that your wife's perspective of the 'strong and independent' Bond girl was that she might be a villain.

Interesting, I too thought Swann might be bad news ... but was kind of relieved that she wasn't!
