We're a month out. Getting super excited. I took a break while the franchise took a break. Just from forum posting, not from watching the DVDs regularly, listening to the soundtracks, or keeping up with filming news. Somewhere a few years back I posted that I didn't think they needed to bring back Moneypenny or Q because I feared they wouldnt fit into the restored franchise. As I later posted in a my mea culpa, I had been very wrong and was very happy about it. Moneypenny was outstanding and I look forward to seeing her again.
I've just checked and I see that when I posted my prediction for the ending of Skyfall and subsequent discussion of it a few months later....http://debrief.comma...-4#entry1235339.... I said something similar about SPECTRE. I hope to be able to post another mea culpa in late October. ;-)
I heard the Sam Smith title track and I'm not terribly impressed. Listened to an interview with him and he said he wrote the entire thing in about 25 minutes and used the first and only vocal track he came up with. It sounds like it. Oh well, can't win them all. Adele's work on Skyfall was spectacular and in my regular rotation of 007 music. Can't really expect them to come close to her for quite a while.
Anyway, I better get to catching up around here. Must be at least a few gun barrel threads I missed.
