Very interesting, thanks mummyboy11.

The voiceover is a quote from Fleming's Playboy interview: "Exact details of individual private lives and private tastes are extremely interesting to me. I think that even the way a man shaves in the morning is well worth recording."

I don't think any of those guys in the ad are meant to be Bond, they're just portraying the sorts of characters that Fleming found interesting; fighters, explorers, etc. Interesting that these ad men are remembering Fleming instead of focusing on the new film (the Heineken ad still wins for me, though!).

Oh! Didn't knew that!

I guess they did their research well to get that quote about shaving to introduce the product! eh

His successor, Piers Brosnan...

Deary me.  The online division must be run by the eager, but useless, interns.

As Killefer would've said, 64 mil's a helluva chunk o' dough.

£64m? I take it that's for the WHOLE marketing campaign, not just this ad, right? Wow.

If true - that´s WAY too much.

There's no way that's true. It's a glossy ad, but not worth 64 million pounds.

The full campaign wouldn't cost that much! Daily Mail (right wing nut cases) have just pulled a number out of their arse to fill space.

Maybe that is how much they have spent with Eon / MGM, or whomever gets the sponsorship berries.

Am I alone in hoping that SPECTRE features something of the spirit contained in this ad?

I wish Craig was more like this in his movies. I much prefer his hair and suit in this than any of his films to date. I like that it all looks more relaxed.

Anyone ID'ed the music they use in this Ad? Wouldn't mind having it.

Exactly, it's a Fleming homage more than a Bond homage - quite clever I think. Though I can see how it is possibly a bit too obscure in its references for some.

I do love the Heineken ad, however, though not Craig's hair.
