Given that rating it out of 10 suggests a universal agreement about what is 0 and what is 10 when it comes to this poppycock, I might as well rate it (for all the good it will do, and actual meaninglful power that I have) as...

Insofar as deciding whether or not to see the final film, which presumably must be the idea behind any marketing ploy like this...

Some group just posted on Twitter it's due next week.....??

The Italian James Bond Fan Club has said that they are expecting it on the 17th.

I don't know if this is an educated guess or if it's based on some inside info.

My take - if they've classified it now, they're sure to have it in theatres playing with Ant-Man next week (from Thursday). So ideally, as the norm is to debut the trailer online first before it's shown in theatres, they released it online either tomorrow (same timing as teaser trailer - a week before it was due to play with Furious 7 but IMO we'd now by now it'd dropping, right?), or early next week, by Thursday.

Something big is on the horizon. Video Europe (a company that provides O.B. equipment etc) Tweeted this earlier today.

It seems their last big job was the live screens in Leicester Square for the Ant-Man premiere, next...

From #Antman to #Bond, today we are prepping the kit for a very special press event #Spectre

Wonder when that press event will be.

Often with these, they announce it only a couple of days before. I'm not aware of anything officially passed onto the media yet.

It seems that there has been a press junket in London over the last few days.

I'd say that there is a firm embargo on the interviews.

Hmm, a press junket for what exactly?  It´s too early for the whole film, of course.  Will they do it just for the next trailer?  Or for the title song?

I find the long delayed embargo strategy quite old-fashioned and annoying, to be honest.  Quite often, press and internet sites are invited to film sets or wrap events and are told to sit on their information for extended periods of time, often months on in. Usually by the time the green light is given, the information released is of little use to any serious fan. They already know by then what Set A with actor B was all about. Hopefully, the release of the new trailer is what this is about, and we will read and see something this coming week on it.  In the meantime, the new Star Wars and Batman vs. Superman films are getting all the press from Comic Con.

It's probably for the best that SPECTRE stays out of that crazy fanboy mess.

Agreed, a ton of stuff has been released these last few days for so many other massive franchise films that it's absolutely for the best to give it a few days for things to cool down and then take the stage without any further competition. If you're a fan of pretty much any other major tentpole film coming out in the next couple years, you certainly have enough to occupy yourself with in the meantime. I know I do.

It's for the film's release, Time Out has Tweeted that they won't print the interviews until October.

Interesting - but what could they have offered at this point, save an extended trailer?  Seems weird to do it this early, or... is it just me who´s weird?  Could be.

AFAIK, lots of the material from the Mexican press junket is embargoed until October, too. Of course, everyone had their shooting report, but we didn't see any bigger interviews and stuff like that. Maybe our friend Marketto can shed some light on this...

Some movies have early junkets for magazines and printed press too.

Re: the new trailer, seemingly UK cinemas got it from Sony this weekend, We'll find out for sure regarding U.S. cinemas tonight as a big list of trailers for the week goes up online on Monday nights.

That list, does it go completely online on Mondays or does it usually overflow to Tuesday? Still, with all the news regarding the super guys and the star stuff, we probably won´t have any 2m30s trailer until at least the end of the month, right? Although some people are saying it will be attached to Ant Man - another stupid super hero flick, IMO (so sick of these, it´s all supes this, bat that, league this, avengers that, ...Iron Man, Spider Man, X Men, ... bah). Thanks for keeping us in the loop antovolk. Cheers.

I hate superhero movies too (I liked the Spiderman trilogy, but there are like three superhero movies a year and they're all the same) but let's hope SPECTRE trailer will be attached to it because I can't wait to watch it!

Usually completely on Mondays - sometimes it's Tuesday but very rarely. Last time it happened was the week of Jurassic World. So we'll have to see. Probably Warner still working out whether to send the full 3:30 (!!!) Batman v Superman trailer to theatres or a shorter 2:30 version.

If anything that will just mean they'll wait till Wednesday/Thursday, or even Friday, to drop it online. Let the SDCC hype die down. If it was the end of the month it wouldn't have been classified by the BBFC already, given Sony's track record with the classifications. Plus given end of July is exactly when Skyfall's theatrical trailer debuted, with SP getting the teaser way earlier they'd want the new trailer earlier, also to take into account is that SPECTRE's closest rival, the final Hunger Games film, is also debuting their full trailer at the end of the month. So based on that and other stuff I've heard myself that support that it should be this week, it should be playing with Ant-Man. Quite undeniable though that those "stupid" flicks are the big box office earners, that's why Sony are placing the trailers with them...
