Good stuff. No one has used the DB10 yet in any of them?...

That's breathtaking, DamnCoffee... nice work!

Good job. I'm all for the Mendes 'S' trilogy - Skyfall, SPECTRE and Shatterhand!
Posted 14 February 2015 - 09:09 AM
That is absolutely spectacular. Sell this to EON immediately!

Great work!

The Shatterhand one is simply marvelous.

Here's my Shatterhand teaser...
I'm not exactly the biggest Shatterhand title supporter, but this poster is absolute fantastic. What a tease!

I like both the main Shatterhand poster and the teaser - and the Risico one as well. On the Shatterhand main poster, it's not difficult to work out who is playing who from the cast list or which novel it's based on of course! I'd only caution about the assumed location - in the past the film makers have played fast and loose with the Fleming source material, whether it's storylines or, sometimes, locations. TMWTGG being set in Jamaica in the book but ending up in the Far East in the film springs to mind.

Fantastic poster. That's better than virtually every EON poster since The Living Daylights. Nice color scheme and nice use of the SPECTRE logo. Very impressive.

Thank you very much! I made this one also but completely forgot about it.
An alternate take if you will...

I like this one as well. Interesting cast list change - for Ken Watanabe read Charles Dance? Which part would he be playing? Sir James Molony?
Posted 03 March 2015 - 04:08 PM
I always thought Charles Dance would make a cracking minister of defence / M's drinking buddy at Blades. Still a bit iffy about Peter Dinklage AND Charles Dance though. I'm considering to have one or the other to avoid obvious Game of Thrones comparisons. I always imagined Peter Dinklage would be a great undercover agent in the British Government. Maybe an agent of SPECTRE? Since Dance would also be based in London they'd probably cross paths, which admittedly would be cool albeit a bit indulgent. Never realised the loss of Ken Watanabe on the cast list to tell you the truth. Obviously though he would be playing a reimagined Tiger Tanaka. Thanks for the kind words. Glad you like it!

I like them both DamnCoffee, and they look more like real film posters than the real ones, if you see what I mean. My only note of caution, as I mentioned a day or so back, is that even if the original "Twice" story featuring the garden of death and Shatterhand/Blofeld was to be used, who is to say it would be set in Japan? There are other parts of the world where you could set an exotic garden of death, and it wouldn't surprise me if the producers and screenwriters - just to differentiate their "Shatterhand" story from either the book or the film of "Twice" even though it would be obvious to fans what it was based on - might set the story in a different place.
Charles Dance as a Minister - yes I can see it, or as a "Mallory" character overseeing the current M. Or, as a villain?

I wouldn't mind seeing Dance as a good guy really. He as a lot of rep for playing the bad guy so it would be nice to see him as a different kind of guy for once. Possibly a recurring character. I understand what you mean by the location change. However, Bond hasn't been to Japan for 47 years. Why not take advantage of that and bring him back there. There's a lot of beautiful locations in Japan and it would be a treat to see brought to life onscreen. Especially with a skilled cinematographer.

I actually very much agree about Japan - a return is long overdue, especially when you consider other countries, notably Italy, that the series has returned to time and again. Nothing against Italy, mind! All I would say is that we shouldn't count on a film based on the actual plot from the novel of YOLT being set in the same location as that novel. The film producers have played around not only with the storylines of the novels when brought to the screen but sometimes the locations, notably with TMWTGG in 1974 - although given that so much of LALD the previous year was set in the Caribbean, it was perhaps not surprising that the producers went for a change of location.

Dance played a bad guy in FYEO.
I love the Shatterhand poster by the way, Matt.
