These days, it´s one announcement and teaser after the other - a damn hectic news cycle.

Last week, it was STAR WARS.  Before that, it was JURASSIC WORLD against PAN.  Tomorrow, it will be BOND 24 against TERMINATOR: GENYSYS (teaser).  Buzz about big blockbusters will rise and ebb quickly.  Especially since the actual release is a year away.

So, nothing to worry about.  Besides - SKYFALL marked the 50th anniversary, it came after the long hiatus, it featured an Academy Award winner-director Sam Mendes.  All these factors kept SKYFALL (or BOND 23 as it was known then) in the news for much longer before the press conference took place.

This time, it´s "just" the next Bond film with Mendes.  It will always be called "the successor to SKYFALL", and every journalist will write in his review: Is it as good as SKYFALL - or: does it perform as well as SKYFALL?

By the way: I hope that tomorrow not only the title and the full cast will be announced - but also the composer...

Was about this level before CR (possibly quieter as there was no Bond) and before QOS. Skyfall was a bit noisier but there had been a much longer gap between films.

Well, if the title turns out to be... (people who have been reading the spoiler section will know what I mean) then it has leaked.

It's just that a person on another forum has said that a friend with inside information on Bond 24 has told them the title. So it's a big pinch of salt sort of thing.

However, reading through that person's posting history on Skyfall rumours, they clearly did have inside info on that film. We will see.

I'm pretty sure that (the potentially spoiler-ish title in question) will not be the film's title.

I'm also curious to see where an actual leaked title has been reported and not just the speculated ones.

Speaking of titles being announced at the start of production, how close to the start of production to TND did they announce the title, and how soon to that moment was it still actually called Tomorrow Never Lies?

They announced the announce of a title and the cast.

Why should they lie about that?

Me too! I wouldn't expect us to get who is doing the title song, be it Sam Smith or *fingers crossed* Adele, but it would be nice to know if Thomas Newman is indeed confirmed to return for a second go around.. :)

Don't think this is a spoiler, but Baz Bamigboye, from The Daily Mail - who has proven himself in the past - has just tweeted

I wont grumble if she is our Bond girl.

Wonder if she will be a Bond girl villain - she certainly has the presence to be one, a'la Xenia Onatopp. Although it seems we have enough potential villainy at present.

15hrs 26mins and counting...

Sounds like 2008 all over again!

This stigma always worries and often annoys me. Flashbacks of the overly-critical days of Quantum of Solace being expected to "live up" to Casino Royale and ending up being "just" another Bond movie with a "hokey title" immediately replay in my head...

Important information for German users: currently, when you click on the Youtube Link for the presentation live stream, you get the message: "Live Streaming ist wegen Rechteproblemen in Deutschland nicht möglich" ("Live streaming in Germany is not possible due to rights problems"), which is rather bad news.

Sony is aware of this problem and working on it. They hope to get it fixed before the announcement.

Fingers crossed...

Does anyone know what time the press conference will start (UTC-08:00) Pacific Time (US & Canada)? That I know whether to stay up or sleep. Would be greatly appreciated.

I would like to have an announcement. As far as I know Arnold has pretty much stated that It's Newman again, even though there has been no formal announcement on Newman or EON's part. I'm hoping it's Newman so he can continue with the themes he introduced in Skyfall and further bring newer things into the mix. Loved his score. Felt true to Bond.

Little over twelve hours for me. Ahh, screw it. Coffee, tea, energy drinks. Might as well stay up for this one. I've been prone to oversleep in the past.

Thanks a bunch, Vauxhall

I know when the alarm goes off in the morning here in Texas what will be the first thing I do, and it won't involve the (for my UK friends) the loo. (I know, too much information).  ;)

Meanwhile, some music for all of us to enjoy (perhaps with a glass of 50 year old Macallan's scotch) while we wait for the announcement! :)
