I notice that the planes have the same aircraft registration number (OE-FZO) as the mock up plane used in the stun sequence.  OE is the national designator for Austria.

This would be for continuity, as they are all meant to be one plane.

Yup, those planes are meant to be the one that crashes. Until today, they were located in Oberlängenfeld near Sölden.

An extra large tent had to be built for them, as the planes' (two Britten Norman Islanders) wingspan of 15 meters is much wider than the ones of usual sports planes, so they couldn't use the hangars there. They are now in Nikolsdorf near Obertilliach. The planes have already been used for shooting in Sölden in December. This sort of plane only needs 350 meters of landing strip. If the weather is good enough, they're going to shoot flyovers and other scenes related to the plane crash.

The two calves were born on the same day when they started shooting in Obertilliach, The farmer thought it'd be a nice idea to name them after Daniel Craig and Lea Seydoux.

Oh, wow. Looks stunning.

There's also a short (so short they have to run it twice) video in the article. That's the revealing animation from the press conference, but I haven't seen it available anywhere before (or did I miss that one?)...

That looks fantastic. Can imagine a bit of the Bond theme blaring as he brings the plane under control and leaps out.

Looks awesome! I would say this was a landing though, I don't think a plane would go far with no wings. I sorta hope it smashes into that cabin,  ;)

News from Austria:

http://www.tt.com/ku...rig-krachen.csp
http://www.kleinezei...007-nicht-genug

The pictures above from the plane crash seem to be from rehearsals. Article says they're going to shoot it for real within the next few days. Also, they're going to shoot in Kartitsch (few kilometers west of Obertilliach), from 2nd to 6th of February. Will be a car chase, for which they didn't find the right place in Obertilliach. Preparations are already under way (building tents, parking lot etc.), but nowhere near as much as in Obertilliach. One hillside has already been prepared with snow cannons. Rumors that Daniel Craig may return to Austria...

Wow, these pics are thrilling, I'm sure we're in for an exciting sequence in the movie. This one will be bigger and better than SkyFall,

Thanks Marketto, any idea if Craig or any of the other main cast were involved, or whether it was just second unit filming?

Excellent stuff! I've been listening to "Come In 007, Your Time Is Up" from TWINE soundtrack as I've been viewing these pics! Can't wait to see this sequence! :)

Lord only knows where you get these photos, but they are greatly appreciated.

I have never seen a camera car with an arm, and on tracks before.  Wheels and tyres, yes.  But tank tracks, no.

Really amazing to see the efforts to which they will go for these half second shots, as they will no doubt appear in the finished film.

Thank you.

Good find, thanks.

I'm guessing it's mainly, if not all second unit material being gathered. It doesn't seem like a lot of time at Ice-Q and the cable car, so perhaps just a few specific, extra shots.

Credit goes to the guys at the German Bond forum. People over there have a constant eye on the news from Austria, I'm merely translating and passing on in both directions.

While shooting in the car chase in Kartitsch, the producers discovered a little chapel near the road. Word has it that the fell in love with it and decided that it has to be in the movie:

panorama3.jpg

http://www.tt.com/ho.../bond-kapelle-für-kartitsch.csp?tab=article

There's also an interesting blog entry from the guy who made the pics in Obertilliach. Describes how he got the pictures and what equipment he used. He used a cable car all day in about 400 or 500 meters distance (lost count how many times) and tried his best. Took him a while to get acceptable results, but as we saw, it worked quite well. Says he didn't break any rules, he was on public ground all the time. Impossible for me to translate all that photo tech stuff...

Thanks again, Mr. Brunner. You made some Bond fans really happy.

Very nice little chapel. Let's hope they don't smash it down with a rogue vehicle.

We may have seen this video before, but some moving pictures from filming in Austria last month:

To add to my earlier reply, a caption on the Daily Telegraph calls it the Hoffler Klinik.

I'd say there's a good chance they're right ;)

ANOTHER injury on the set of SPECTRE! This time long-time second unit director, Terry Madden suffered multiple fractures when a camera truck veered off the road and crashed into a barn. Here's hoping he'll make a full recovery quickly!

Between Craig and Madden's injuries, issues with Rome, bloated budget reports and the Sony leaks, it's like Spectre is just haunted or doomed. Can't seem to catch a break.

Am sure all these types of hiccups have existed in all movie making instances since the dawn of time.

Only the dawn of time didn't come equipped with the internet and its many news feeds to report on every single minor issue.  (Which is Not to say Madden's issue was minor)

I agree 100%. For me it's like one thing after another and just waiting for what else will happen next.
