A snow based location with substantial runtime would be ideal, but I'll even take a PTS with skidoos.

Local press there are reporting that filming will take 15 days and will be in Casablanca and Tangier.

Three weeks would be a bit short, but let's wait and see. Hoping for more on-locations shots than in Skyfall.

 

Apart, Moroccan media are also reporting that Daniel Craig is there together with Mark Strong to prepare for a shot in Casablanca and Tanger starting December...

Here is a photo of Daniel and Mark Strong in Marrakech, yesterday, I believe.

Apparently, whilst in Morocco, Daniel has been using the name 'Kananga' as a cover name. Interesting.

For those who complained about the too short hair in SKYFALL, Daniel Craig will wear his hair a bit longer in BOND 24.  Which is only fitting since three years have passed since SKYFALL.

I know. Peculiar, isn't it? 

Could he be acting as some sort of ambassador for the project? Meeting people to help secure filming permission, perhaps? Who knows who else is there from the production team.

It's extremely curious that he's taken his friend Mark Strong along.

Agreed.  Even if he is in the film, that doesn't necessitate that he's playing the main villain, or a villain at all.  He could be an ally, or the Minister of Defense, or something else entirely.

 

If the Ejiofor rumors are to be believed (and they fit perfectly in with EON's modus operandi, so why would they not?), then it would be hard to imagine that he and Strong were considered for the same role.  With Ejiofor in mind, it's possible (though not guarantee by any stretch) that the main villain role is not a colorblind one, that it MAY have been written for an actor of African descent.

 

But back to the original quote, Strong's presence in Morocco isn't in itself a guarantee that he'll be in the film.  And, just personally, I think the days of bringing back Blofeld are bygone.

I'd guess it's probably just something of a coincidence that Strong is travelling with him. If he is actually in the film, it would pack more of an impact to announce him before any publicity appearances - official or not.
