Considering the actors age this is probably one of the last times they'll be able to do this which is kind of sad, put the flag at half mass today.

This is hardly a surprise, as this news is just confirmation of what has already been stated by the president of the Academy back at the beginning of January.

I can imagine they tried to bring them together - but it did not work out.

 

And quite frankly, it would have looked weird, considering the height differences of all these actors...

How would it have looked weird? You've got several tall men who are appropriately Bond-sized in height and then you have lil Craig, who provides the contrast in the image. 

Kinda like having Tattoo beside Mr Rourke on FANTASY ISLAND.
