This is the most shocking news I think I've ever heard. Believe me, you won't believe it either when you hear it. Activision has announced....Drum roll please *insert drum roll*...............a new Call of Duty game will be released this November. I mean can you believe it? I know I sure can't....

OMG NO WAY!!! I AM SO EXCITED! I didn't think there would be a sequel or anything this is so surprising!

I wish to trump 'Call Of Duty' with the news that Ubisoft have announced 'Assassins Creed IV' is coming out in 2014 with a new lead character and set in a new era!
Excited?
YES!

It doesn't. It's not as surprising. I mean Assassin's Creed is a cash cow. We all knew a sequel was coming. But Call of Duty just came out of nowhere.

Oh jesus, we all know they were both coming. This year marks the tenth anniversary for Call Of Duty, it's not like Activision is going to pass that up. As for Assassin's Creed, it is a cash cow now. It has been since they released AC: Brotherhood, an expansion pack marked at full retail price.
Assassin's Creed is going to become just as generic and boring as COD is in the future.

So lemme guess, the new COD game will probably be called Call of Duty Black Ops Modern Warfare 4: Hardened Edition?
Just kidding.

I believe someone here already mentioned something similar (or perhaps the same thing), but apparently (just a rumor) no used games on the next-gen Xbox.

Yeah, I mentioned it as a rumor for PS4. It doesn't surprise me.

I think it's more like Call of Duty 10: Modern Black Ops at War 5: United Offensive Expansion Pack 3.

If it's true, I can Imagine GameStop at bad for business. It's also a very stupid move on the gaming industry. It's bad enough you have to type in code to play games from THQ and EA online.

Honestly, I don't think it will happen, unless the new consoles are all digital and have no discs.

I hope that doesn't happen.. I don't want everything to be digital. I like putting in a game disc.

As do I. I am not a huge fan of downloading content and I absolutely detest DLC. My guess is though that if one does do it, the other will too. Either way, we should find out on February 20th.

I'm currently playing Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts and Bolts. The fanbase has been pretty hostile towards it, but honestly it's not a bad game in my opinion. I mostly like driving around, so... Oh and the game within a game is awesome. (Klungo agreesssss.)

It's brilliant seawolf - really large and engrossing with a great twist in the opening sequences....!

That twist was interesting. I'm enjoying the story even if the gameplay is somewhat uninspired. The ship battles are fun as hell though. Although, I watched a trailer for the game on youtube and some jackass ruined the ending in the comments section!

Really?! Oh god, sorry to hear that.... but glad you likes that twist. I felt a little violated after! Playing with one idea in mind and then finding out it was another...!
I agree with the sea battles though, very epic and refreshing to see in a modern game!
Question. Does Connor annoy / irritate you in a way Altair and Ezio never did...?

It's official, Playstation 4 will release this year.
(and I'm not far enough into the game to answer that question, tcr)

I love how they announce the console and new hardware without showing the actual hardware and stuff.

I know. They show the new controller, some games, the hardware specs, but not the actual console.

I wouldn't say that, just not putting my time for it at the moment.

While I like the dualshock 3 ok as I've grown used to the controller in the 18 years I've played Playstation (god has it been that long?), the shoulder buttons are annoying. The Dualshock 4 looks to be a long overdue update on the controller. It appears to be much more ergonomic than anything on the market now (certainly better than that bizarre Wii U controller). The new analog sticks look good and I'm glad they kept them where they are. I never liked the staggered analog sticks on the Xbox controller.

I'll be waiting for Microsoft's Xbox 720/Infinity announcement, hopefully soon as that will be the tipping point for me as to what it can offer.
