It still shocks me, the price of new video games, even today.
But sometimes you get a surprise reduction in price for some games, like the new 'Hitman' game went down about 50% in a few weeks of release and is still there - I doubt it was due to flagging sales, but the fact '007 Legends' is still more expensive doesn't speak volumes.

I can't either. I couldn't believe it when I saw that they are still charging $60 for 007L.

The game's only been out since not even 3 months, makes sense...
It'll be down by the summer. I can afford full-price games, I just don't buy a ton of them yearly for the fact that most games now, are complete S***.

Yeah I am pretty picky about games that's why I usually read reviews and see if it's worth my time. I hate buying a game that I don't enjoy..

I don't read reviews. Their biased, picky, arrogant, and asinine. If it looks dumb and doesn't interest me, not buying it (eg: The Assassin's Creed and Bioshock franchise among others)
If I'm not sure, I'll ask a friend who has it and played it what he thinks about it.

I mean I read reviews to see if the game is well made or not.. I don't want to waste money on a game that was badly made.. like 007 Legends even though i am planning on buying it eventually.. I am a little hypocritical.

If I trusted reviews, I would be buying Call of Duty every year. But I'm totally convinced that activision pays the reviewers for high review scores. Made even more believable by the fact that they rate any other FPS lower. None of the last four call of dutys should've gotten any higher than a 6 out of 10 and yet they consistently are the highest rated games around.

Marvel announced that Lego Marvel Super Heroes is coming out this fall 2013. I am pretty sure it is featuring the avengers but also deadpool and others. It was announced from Marvel's twitter page.
This looks so cute. I love Lego Games for that reason.

It's pretty good. It needs a better game library. Uncharted Golden Abyss isn't bad, but not up to the other Uncharteds. Cross-play is a cool feature. Essentially being able to play PS3 games on Vita as long as the Vita is connected to a PS3. Wipeout 2048 is good, Gravity Rush is fun. The Vita itself is almost a super smart phone without the phone capabilities. I think in the long run, the Vita will move to the forefront and compete well with 3DS. I really like it, however, if you don't have a PS3 you might not be interested in it.

I'm currently playing Blood Stone 007, and I'm at the part where you have to chase Pomerov's train. Let me say that driving sequence + ice = complete disaster. I'm not sure if I can chalk it up to inexperience, but I've had better driving missions than that.
(For the record, you don't start out driving on ice.)
Other than that, not too much.

It's not as bad as the Istanbul level. I swear it probably took me 3 days of practice and almost cost me a controller to get that damn Speed Run trophy.

Yeah I am on the 360 too but I am also not a fanboy about it. I don't care if you are on the PS3 if that's what you like, cool beans. I love my 360 though.. 
I am addicted to collecting achievements in games.
The trophies are the PS3 version of achievements.

Just finally started 'Assassins Creed III' lastnight and been on for about 90 minutes, and just got the title sequence about 30 minutes in.
It's long, it's fully of detail, story and gorgeous sequences and I've not even touched the surface yet. This looks really good, and I can't wait to get stuck in. I think I'm even playing the main character's Dad at the moment, so not even playing as the main man Connor yet!
Wonderful game, and it's clear this is a step up from the previous titles.

Again, I'm not too familiar with the Xbox setup, but I think you get more points for harder achievements. With the trophies it works the same, the harder the trophy the higher the color i.e. harder=gold. Strangely, that isn't always the case but for the most part it is. The Platinum trophies are awarded upon receiving all of the other trophies in a game, although not every game offers Platinum trophies.
