I was very amused by Kincaid calling M "Emma" all the time...

Oh right, that was very funny.

I rather liked this scene, as Q & Tanner spread the "breadcrumbs"

Q (to Bond) "007, is this official?"

Bond "It's far from official!"

Q (muttering to himself) "There goes my promising career in British Intelligence."

Must say, " Welcome to Scotland" was my favorite line in the film. Finney was terrific.

Was also a fan of:

" Q's afraid of flying."
" Of course he is."

As well as " Good luck with that" when Komodo man picked up Bond's Walther. The humor was pitch perfect.

Those are two of my favourite too, as it happens. The first one has made me smile each time I've seen it. Great delivery from Craig.

Craig shines in the Komodo Dragon fight... his first pointing reaction to the animal, then his worried look as he is upside down, and then as you say the "Good luck with that!" line.

Very Moore/Brosnan vibe. Great delivery in all by Craig.

Question. What did Bond say after he "kidnaps" M in the jaguar? He's driiving off and it's before his speech about Silva being one step ahead of them. I didn't catch it. Was it the "going back in time" line from the trailer?

My dad laughed a lot when Bond disguises himself as a policeman / security man / driver in the Shangai Airport.

M asked, "Where are we going?" and Bond replied, "Back in time."

I really liked Kincade's line to the extent of "What was it you decided to do for a living again?" after Bond proves he's a damn good shot. The word association got a big laugh from the crowd. Actually, nearly all of the gags got a good laugh from the crowd. What a great use of humor. Easily the funniest Bond film, but it was all appropriate and fit the film perfectly. Bond's "What makes you think this is my first time?" got a great reaction from the crowd as well.

The ejector seat line had me in stitches, uncontrollably laughing, to the point I had to curtail myself in order to not be distracting to the rest of the audience. Wow, that was a good one. So glad to see the humor brought back in this one, not austintatiously, but done with class and finesse.

The bulldog - one of my favourite lines. "The whole office gets blown apart, and yet somehow that bloody thing survived!"

Bardem's touching up of Bond while strapped to the chair and Bond's reaction: 'What makes you think it's the first time?' drew uneasy laughs last night.

When I heard this, I wondered if the writers were poking fun at the whole "gay Bond" manufactured story that was circulating over the Internet a while back.

And after that line from Bond, the way Silva says "Oh Mr. Bond!", drew a huge laugh from the audience in the screening I was at.

Agree with all of the things in here, especially "Q's afraid of flying". Silva falling down after the escalator slide, and Bond hitting the ground running made me smile. Nobody does it better.

I think it's really funny, but I feel like you have to be a true Bond fan to really think it's funny. I was talking with someone and he said that he hated this movie because he thought the humor was really dumb and I just asked him if he had seen any other bond film and he replied with no and I was like well no wonder I mean there are all of these stupid little jokes in the previous Bond films too. I thought it was hilarious I loved the dialogue with Bond and M in the Aston Martin. That was definitely my favorite.

The dialogue in the Aston fell flat for me and the audience both times I saw it. It was a nice wink, but it felt too clunky and fast for anyone to really think about it.

Bond in disguise as a policeman drew a few chuckles from the audience. Which is another interesting parallel with Silva, given he does so later in the film.

And Bond wearing the breathing mask while on the treadmill drew a little laugh too. Which kind of reminded me of Q wearing that mask in TLD.

I thought he was meant to be dressed as a driver, as he was standing with all the other drivers at the airport.

Just saw the film for a second time, and yeah, you're right.

Pretty much all of the dialogue that was meant to be funny fell flat with the audience I watched the film with. I got a slight chuckle out of the "We don't go in for that sort of thing anymore" line when Q was talking about the exploding pen, but I was the only one in the audience I saw the film with today that reacted to that line. The only bit of humor that either I or the audience got any real laughs over was Bond's petrified reaction to the komodo dragon, where he's backing up and frantically point it at it in an effort to seemingly warn the guy who's trying to kill him that he's about to be eaten.

British humour.

Yep.

Here in Australia the older generation seems to get the dry, sarcastic British humour a lot more than the younger ones who've only known American humour. My first showing was an advance screening full of middle aged Bond fans and the laughs from the audience were coming thick and fast the whole way through. My second viewing was on a friday night with an audience of mostly teenagers and not so much. They seemed to miss all the dry lines and character humour and just laughed at the obvious stuff like "He's keen to get home!" and "Welcome to Scotland!".

Didn't notice it on my first viewing but on my second time I thought that Q drinking tea in a mug from the scrabble range with a big letter Q on it quite funny. Like this one

Yes, I thought it was excellent to see the humour back, and there were a few Moore/Brosnan lines that worked very well.

The ones that got laughs here in Sydney included:-

The Exploding pen line

Moneypenny revealed

The earpiece into Eve’s drink

Bond and Q

M’s F-Bomb

There wasn't really anything that stood out to be really funny to me, I didn't really laugh out load at all.

I love little things like that.
