Never in my life have I laughed so much during a Bond film. Fantastic dry, english humour.

Bond and M in the DB5. M says something about the car. Bond pops up the gear stick.

Bond: Are you gonna complain the whole way?
M: Fine. Go on then. Eject me. See if I care.

Bond runs after a tube train and grabs onto the back of it.

Old man to his wife: Looks like he's in a rush.

Bond, grabbing onto the train, stares at the driver, who looks back startled.

Bond: Open the door.

Driver: ....

Bond: OPEN. THE. DOOR. (Door opens) Thank you. Health and safety. Carry on.

Bond drives off in the jaguar with M.

M: 007. What the hell are you doing? Are you kidnapping me?

Fantastic, movie. Brilliant humour, and genuinely funny in places, too. Especially the Bond and Q banter.

Bond: The door won't open.
Q: Kick it down?
Bond: You come down here and kick it down!?

Q: Ah, there you are 007. I see you. You're in the tube station.
Bond: I know where I am Q, where's he?

Any other funny moments people can recall?

I totally agree, but it kinda freaked me out that I was the only one laughing (in a full screening) at some of these gags. I noticed it more with the lines that referenced previous Bond films e.g. the ejector seat joke.

The whole cinema was laughing. It was a lovely feeling. Got a massive applause at the end as well. So proud to be a Bond fan.

Yeah - all those lines at the Premiere got the hugest of laughs.

Probably the biggest one being M in the DB5. I know I missed whatever happened for the 30 seconds thereafter due to this line.

We must be more restrained in my neck of the woods. Mild tittering but no belly laughs. Actually, the biggest chuckle when I saw it yesterday came when Kincade calls Bond a "jumped up little [censored]!

I don't think its the most hilarious Bond film. Its overall tone is still quite serious and dark, leavened by the odd well timed bit of dry wit. It pretty much takes up when CR left off.

I went straight after work yesterday, and caught the 13.45 screening,it was showing every 45 minutes there was a big queue waiting to get in and a pretty much full looking house came out from the previous screening. It was about half full, and there were a few laughs, but not hysterical laughter, no one laughed at the tube jokes, but the ejector seat joke got a chuckle form a few people

'I was ready before you were born' got laughs, so too 'Welcome to Scotland'...

Bardem's touching up of Bond while strapped to the chair and Bond's reaction: 'What makes you think it's the first time?' drew uneasy laughs last night.

Bond to Q: '...because you still have spots'.

The line about exploding pens, too.

Word association guy: 'M'
Bond: 'Bitch'. - this probably got the biggest laugh.

A brilliant use of humour and Craig and co deliver the lines so well, so comfortably with eachother you just believe their chemistry.

Can't wait to see it again to see them again and see what else I may have missed.

"Health and safety. Carry on." - Sheer classic.

Not to mention Psychiatrist - "Day" - Bond "Wasted". Wondered what that title from the soundtrack meant.

And, referring to M's bulldog ornament, Bond "MI6 gets blown to bits, and yet somehow that thing survived!" (A thing which, of course, has a certain poignancy near the film's end).

Craig's delivery of the one liners is nearer Connery's than anyone else, but not completely. Craig's manner is dead pan, matter of fact, testy almost, in this film. And the lines, when he gets them, are the more amusing for it.

The biggest laugh my screening had was Albert Finney's beautifully judged 'you jumped up little [censored]'. :D

Some great dry wit throughout this though; I was laughing at winks & nods to Bond past that a lot of other people around me didn't quite get. Plenty were in there.

All the above example got huge laughs at the screening I went to but one not mentioned was Craig's Roger Moore-esque facial expressions during the komodo dragon fight scene. SF may be, in parts, the darkest film in the series but the light hearted comedic moments were all genuinely funny throwbacks to the core reason why, IMO, many people unashamedly fell in love with this particular franchise all those decades ago.

Love that line. I'm also a fan of M's throwaway comment, afterwards.

"The whole of MI6 goes up in smoke, and yet that bloody thing survives."
"Your interior decorating tips have always been appreciated, 007."

Also, I'm probably the only one that laughed at this, but Mallory's sudden line "CONGRATULATIONS!" after Bond got the all clear, was deeply hilarious. Me and my friend saw it and are now imagining Mallory popping up in random situations offering his congratulations to Bond.

"I like you better without your beretta."
There he is. Naked in the shower with them. "CONGRATULATIONS!"

On a more serious note, though. Did anyone find that Bonds line 'Put it all on red?' was really charming and humorous, but the latter half of the line 'It's the circle of life' fall completely flat on it's face?

I think my favourite comedy moment was Bond leaping into a wrecked train carriage from a JCB and then pausing a moment to adjust his cuffs. And I rather liked the 'circle of life' line, timed perfectly after the henchman's dying scream as the komodo dragon tucked in to its lunch.

There were a few chuckles but no full belly laughs or anything remotely close in mine. Some jokes didn't get any laughs... I think I was the only one that laughed at the "and that bloody thing survived" line. But yeah, it was amusing in parts. I wouldn't say it's the most hilarious Bond movie to date though.

I thought the cleverest piece of humour in Skyfall was when Bond is leaving the Casino you can clearly hear the roars of the big henchman as the Komodo Dragon munches away on him in the underground layer.
I took this as a fairly pointed reference to Austin Powers and Will Ferrells 'horribly burned but still quite alive' character. They have been talking about reclaiming some territory from Mike Meyers and it's a good way to start.

Laughs I can remember from my first (and best) screening.

"It's alright. I wasn't using it."

"I mean they're on top of the train." - "Well get after them for god sake!"

Bond throwing his gun on the train because there's no ammo left.

"Just changing carriages."

Bond leaning over the bar to get alcohol, and nearly falling.

The M animation on her computer.

"You didn't get the postcard."

"Oh. we sold your flat."

"Well you're bloody well not sleeping here."

"Day." - "Wasted." / "Woman." - "Provocatrix." / "M." - "Bitch."

"The whole of MI6 goes up in smoke, and that bloody thing survives." - "Your interior decorating tips have always been appreciated, 007."

"Good luck 007. Don't cock it up."

The entire Bond and Q meeting. Wonderful writing.

Bond awkwardly dressed as a taxi driver.

The Bond and Eve banter in the casino. Especially "I'll keep you posted!"

Bond holding his Martini up and toasting the three henchman.

Bond, The Henchman, and the Dragon.

"Put it all on red."

The entire Bond and Silva meeting.

"I invented them."

"It won't open." - "Course it will, put your back into it." - "Why don't you come down here and put your back into it!?"

"Oh good... there's a train coming."

"Ah there you are. I see you." - "I know where I am Q. Where's he?"

"He's quick to get back."

"Open the door please. OPEN. THE DOOR. Thank you. Health and Safety, carry on."

The really funny shot of M getting thrown back in the car after Bond speeds off with her in the Jaguar.

"007 what the hell are you doing? Are you kidnapping me?"

"So much for my successful career in espionage."

"Well i'm not hiding in there, if that's your big plan."

"Are you going to complain the whole way?" - "Well go on then. Eject me. See if I care."

"Then we're all buggered."

"Christ. No wonder you didn't come back."

"Good god. Are you still alive."

"Try and stop me, ya jumped up little ****"

"Where did you say you worked again?"

"WELCOME TO SCOTLAND!"

Not sure to catch those.

"Put it all on red?" is just about roulette, isn´t it? Not really a joke?

And "circle of life" was about The Lion King or I miss something?

Sorry for the questions but I´ve seen it in Spanish...

In my screening in Buenos Aires people laughed, but not in a exaggerated way.

I loved the humour here, the Roger/Pierce one liner style humour gave some freshness to Daniel characterization of Bond, it was great to see it back!

"I've read my obituary"

"What do you think"

"I hated it"

"I've named you an example of British patriotism"

"i liked that part."
