The American release is set for Nov. 9th. I am hopeful to find it premiered at an IMAX theater but I'll take what I can get. My son is 7. This will be his 1st OO7 adventure seen in the theater. When I was 7, my 1st was Golden Gun. He's obviously quite excited.

I've just been to see it at my local Odeon multiplex. I'm not going to spoil it for you, except to say that, for me, it has the tone and feel of a classic 60s Bond, but set in the 21st century. They've done a fine job this time. (Am now looking forward to gettting the soundtrack album next week.)

It appears I will most likely not be able to see the film next weekend and therefore, for quite some time. At least until it's on DVD.

Sorry to hear that, AceOfSpades. I hope you find an opportunity sooner than that. I was very lucky and saw it yesterday, a delightful surprise that resulted from a more or less random act of benevolence. I had already bought tickets for this weekend. But I'm eager to see it again, and in the company of non-superfans, which is how I usually watch Bond films for the first time.

Cleared up my schedule, I'll be at the theater Friday with my friends. Not sure about the IMAX showing, that depends on how busy/tired I am. At least I finally have the time and opportunity to see it.

I attended a cocktail party celebrating 50 years of James Bond in Phoenix Sunday night which was hosted by local entertainment critic Bill Goodykoontz and was fortunate enough to win a pair of tickets to a special advance screening. So I will be seeing Skyfall Wednesday night at 7 p.m. (Needless to say, I can't wait.)

By the way, Goodykoontz (who's seen Skyfall) didn't comment much on the film other than to say that it was really, really good and that Daniel Craig is clearly the best Bond since Sean Connery.

Apologies if this has already been posted, but for those in the US Cinemax has been authorized to show Skyfall one day early for their XD audirotiums:

It means the earliest showings will be at midnight on Wednesday night (00:07 precisely on Thursday), and there will be daytime and evening screenings also on Thursday.

And My theater is one of those, except XD ticket prices are just ridiculous. $15-20. I'll wait for a regular showing Friday with my pals.

Got my 2nd screening tonight, this time with the wife - she liked 'Casino Royale', didn't like 'Quantum Of Solace' so I'm sure this will blow her mind.

Then next Wednesday got my 3rd ready with my friend from work - again, popular with the Craig era so hope this will knock her dead.

I love introducing people to powerhouse films like 'Skyfall' for them to enjoy as much as we all do / will.
