Yes, that suited Bond looks far more dangerous, and even more spy-like than the dinner jacket. And Craig looks more comfortable.

I agree - and I think Dalton would have looked better that way too.

Anyone got a scan? It would be great for fan artists out there.

I canceled my Amazon pre-order last weekend; expedient delivery would have taken the cost up to almost the full cover price and they were still talking about getting it to my by Tuesday. So, I walked round the corner to my local book shop on Monday morning and got my copy there.

It’s independently owned and they're very nice people in there – we had a chat about Bond and Skyfall.

Nice to know i wasn't the only one screwed over by those Amazonians. I feel ill too, so i'd like nothing more than to curl up in bed with a cuppa on Saturday morning with Bond on Set: Skyfall on my lap to keep my spirits up!

Good idea, I can recommend doing just that. I’ve had this dreadful flew that’s going round this week – The book has kept me entertained, that and posting here.

Good to know 'Bond On Set' can also cure mild illness!

Any word on the style of the Gun Barell will it be something new like QOS or CR or will we be getting a traditional one ?

No real word yet, but I suspect it will be traditional and open the film.

I guarantee you'll be squealing at some of the pics DC - it's fab. Great, clear and artistic shots of all the main characters too, including my first look at Father Christmas Kincade!

Yes, also based on the fact that everything else in the book is chronological, I'm certainly expecting the gun barrel to open the film. I can see no reason why they wouldn't do so this time.

Exactly, the chronological arrangement of the book points to that in no uncertain terms.

Pictures of the gunbarrel opened Williams' Qos book, too. Still, I have little doubt where it will be.

That's true Matt...but no, I have faith this will be crafted to be a classic gunbarrel opening.

After the image to Turkey, it says on the script extraction that we are in Shot 2 - INT, Istanbul where we first see Bond, so hopefully maybe Shot 1 on the script will be Gunbarrel Sequence - Bond walks along the screen, turns and shoots in the classic fashion, fading out to -

You mean ‘scene’ not ‘shot’ and from what I know, the gun barrel and the title sequence, stuff like that, are not logged in the script as scenes.

Maybe it's an establishing shot of Istanbul?

I was also hoping for an establishing shot of Istanbul, but it appears scene 1 is Bond walking along the dusty hotel corridor before emerging into the light coming through the shutters.

hmm.. I quite liked Casino Royale's Gunbarell
One point to be noted is that in the Casino Royale Teaser trailer a traditional gunbarell was shown , unlike how it was in the actual movie

I stand corrected - wasn't sure what it would encompass!

Spoiler

My feelings exactly - a case of Silva giving him a double edged sword, either Bond or Silva does it with the outcome horrid either way, and I am sure it will be drummed in that the fate of what happens is Bond's fault and Silva will enjoy every moment.

I'm looking forward to that interaction between Bond and Silva. The shooting gallery is certainly a strong motif. The grubby underground gallery in London where Bond is testing his injury, the surreal Hashima Shooting Gallery and the natural yet bleak Scottish practice range. There appears to be a lot of careful consideration gone into this one.

Usually it's just: FADE IN., then the name of the first location.

There's a pic on Page 154 of Albert Finney holding up a hunting knife. You can see the empty sheath hanging from his belt in the pic where Babs is hugging him on Page 205

With the Bond/Silva shooting challenge towards Severine, I believe Silva tees it up as a William Tell style competition, but he doesn't quite stick to what he initially promised.

This new gun barrel pose sounds exciting, can anyone describe it?

And that would be wild if Bond killed Silva with Kincades knife, I would have never guessed to see something like that in a Bond film sounds violent.

The pose looks a bit like Dalton's, except without a tie.
