I thought it would be a good idea to start a thread on this, the book comes out tomorrow here in North American and Marketto as always has provided us with some great pics into the book. I don't think I'll be getting this book and would love to know what I'm missing out on.so

-I'm sorry guys, I'm just not comfortable with links to these images posted here.

Didn't see you started this thread, as I mentioned in the image thread - one of the pages mentions Mallory's

WOW!! I'm definitely buying this book... Great to see the shots of all the actors, including Albert Finney, whom I think we can all now confirm as Kincaid, practicing with their weapons..

Awesome photos!
I'd love to see more of Kincade since his character is shrouded in mystery. The scene of him and Bond shooting the cups sounds amazing, it sounds like the perfect combination between Mendes' classical dramatic approach marred with a potentially great Bond moment.

Is there any chance we could get a clear photo of Finney in character scanned in? There seems to be a small photo of him sans the beard aiming a shotgun. Sick!

Those photos and script extracts really got me buzzing. I need to get a hold of this book this week.

I've got this one pre-ordered. I'm still weighing up what I'm going to do with the movie, though. It comes out November 22 here, and I'm considering going into spoiler lockdown and wait it out. However, saying that is easy. Doing it is another matter.

The dogs with Kincade are cool. I wonder if they'll be involved with the action.

Did anyone get the book yet? I'd be interested in hearing more about, what its like, is it mostly just photos and how many pages is it etc.

I'm sorry, I should have known, maybe I should stick with my Bond ABC's. :)

I'd like to hear more about this and if he is using a gun in the film he may well be armed while on the job, possibly and that all kind of ties in together if his was a flied agent turned administrator or what not.

Well Canada got, I feel, a short-changed cover. It's like on of those covers listed online when there's no cover-art, and it's a temporary fix.

Shame, but obvisouly it's just the cover and the real gems are inside!

That's strictly a placeholder image for the Chapters website. The Canadian version is always the same as the international ones. I've got them all. ;)

Oh excellent sharpshooter - can't wait to see that! It's all falling into place!

I got the hardcover 'Die Another Day' Bond On Set for £2.51 on Amazon yesterday, more proof that this is an outstanding series of books for the Bond films and even made 'Die Another Day' look like a well crafted, thought-out and interesting film....until watching it.

Can't wait for this to see a bit more into 'Skyfall' before the release.

Mine's been dispatched so eagerly awaiting it!!

Matt, thanks for that heads up...I was worried about spoilers as the previous books touch on them but don't give too much away... can you gloss over if it's anything major to the plot, or certain characters....I really want to go thorugh it but maybe not at the expense of BIG spoilers...! Arghhh....what to do...!

It ruins what I think would be a couple of jump moments, but no major plot spoilers. We know pretty much everything the book covers. That said, there are script extracts so some dialogue is divulged but again, it's nothing major. There is one jump moment that caught me off guard on the page, and would have been brilliant on screen, but oh well. It's in the Shanghai section.

Just got hold of a copy and scanning it now. Really well put together look at the film process. Lots of goodies and hints in there, including a better look at Dennis Gassner's locations wall.

Yes, that is good, isn't it?

Do you remember me saying that I thought I could see a rather exotic looking bedroom set between M's office in the bunker and the National Gallery? Well, it is much more noticeable in the book and there is another set just below it too. I don't know if it's a hotel that Bond is staying at in London, which is a possibility. But I still suspect that this might be where we see Silva with Severine and possibly the other set is where we see Silva with Patrice.

The label says "Bond's London Hotel Room" so I guess that this is where he temporarily ends up after MI6 sell his flat. Still trying to figure out where Silva and Patrice share a scene, but if Ola Rapace was correct, then I guess it must be in that portion of the film. Also nice to see confirmation that both the martini bar and swimming pool scenes are set in Shanghai.

Really looking forward to the scans Vauxhall! :)

No scanner at the moment, but I'll try to take some photos over the next few days if I get a moment, and put them somewhere! (Not on the board obviously).

Well, a remarkable book - the best and most in-depth, value for money 'Bond On Set' book yet.

I'm so pleased I own this, it's great! Fantastic images, and Berenice Marlohe looked stunning in everyshot and my eyes were always drawn to her...anyway, I digress...!

So excited to see this come together on film soon, and I think the one image that really got me grinning was in the first few pages...

We are in the spoiler section, does something as mild as that need the extra caution?

I think it defuses the use of the spoiler tab in here, it seems more serious if saved for the big ones.
Anyway...

I’m glad Craig-Bond won’t be in a Tux/Dinner jacket for the gun barrel, much more 60s. Bond always in the Tux for the gun barrel started with TSWLM and went on too long, should have ended with Moore.

I suppose not, no! Just my over-cautious spoiler mode...in the spoiler thread. Never mind.

Yes, that suited Bond looks far more dangerous, and even more spy-like than the dinner jacket. And Craig looks more comfortable.
