That's refreshing. Kind of funny that such a short film as QoS is going to be squeezed between two Craig juggernauts.

Also makes you think the producers trust Mendes judgment, it must be one crackerjack of a film.

Fantastic news! Thanks 'TheSilhouette'. Added to the main page. Although, I must stress that before Skyfall is officially rated by the BBFC, try not to get too excited. If you understand what I mean.

I remember back when I was following the production of TWINE, rumors abounded that the film had a run time of 140 minutes. Of course that was technically true, as that's how long the cut was when the film was previewed for test audiences. I always wondered how the film would have played with that extra half hour.

Very pleasing news and goes a long way in making up for the four year drought.

It's exciting to think of all the content inside the film we have no idea about. With the 50th anniversary, you either go big or go home.

Doesn't this make it SKYFALL longest Bond film of the lot?

Well that will do me fine...something in the back of mind was thinking 3 hours could just be TOO long for a Bond film to grab audiences, but I could be wrong?

Anyway, from what I gather, we're going to need every minute of 'Skyfall' goodness so this is a great runtime.

Great news, so long as Skyfall doesn't mess up the pacing like CR did after Le Chiffre got a bullet in the head.

Can't beat a chart like that...blimey, look at the 'QOS' drop!

Interesting seeing the highs and lows... nice one Invincible!

Of course it just looks like a big drop, because the chart doesn't start with 0 minutes, but with 100 minutes.

Unless they're taking some rough estimate from 'Quantum Of Solace'?

Oh well, BBFC all the way for me.

If it's good, I want "every penny of it"! So I'm all for a long running time.
QoS's running time was good, because it was coherent with the overall pace of the movie. Seeing SF trailer, it seems we'll have a lot of explaining to get, so that might indeed call for a longer running time.

I'm surprised it's that long. Means that the footage we've seen indeed barely scratches the surface. This is very, very good news.

Obviously whoever wrote that Google piece needs serious help with their math and time conversion..145 minutes does NOT equal 1 hour and 45 minutes...Ha ha!!

Remember that OHMSS had a running time of 140 minutes which includes a title sequence of only 2:40 mins and end credits of less than a minute. I'd take a short John Barry instrumental over just about anything.

More recent films will have an end credits that could run on for 9-10 minutes so we're not really comparing like with like.

However, the longer the film, the better IMO as it really helps with key plot developments and character build up.

So I guess its a safe bet that SF will have the longest pre title sequence.
