Well, they definitely made the correct decision not to ask him!Apparently the idea of using Connery in the role was briefly considered.....

Some obviously haven't seen Straw Dogs...Oh, shut up. I only saw the film yesterday and I'm already sick of this 'Home Alone' comparison. That franchise has a monopoly on booby-trapped buildings, apparently?

I agree! What's wrong with this? What did they expected? Bond, "Emma" and Kincade just standing still waiting to be killed? It was awesome to watch them setting deathtraps at the Lodge, and innovative too.

Never mind Bond keeping one step head and using a couple of traps to fight the odds - heck, you could say he's using his brain like a secret agent, and not just unlimited ammo via a sub-machine gun.
He loses ammo, steals weapons and uses his environment - and Kincade adds to the fight brilliantly by not just being the old man who gets in the way.

I agree, the 'Home Alone' stint is getting annoying now, but comical if that's what people can only use to pick holes in the finale - a Christmas kids film.

I think they should remake Home Alone, and have Kevin McCallister think a little more violently about his traps. Shotgun shells and exploding nail bombs would take out the Sticky Bandits in no time, and would end the need for any sequels.
