Sounds brilliant - surprise that Connery hasn't shown his face in this. Really gets my back up...so 5 out of the 6 in this official documentary. Still not a full house.

Still, I can't wait to see this, should be really nice to see and hear the stories behind the scenes of brining Bond to life, and of course from the actors themselves!

Connery really is a stuck-up piss of filth.

Ever since leaving Bond he has well and truly turned his back on it. Its the 50th Anniversary for crying out loud, EVERY one of the other Bonds have made the effort to contribute to the documentary. But oh no, he won't. He was the first, and in many peoples' eyes the best actor to play the role and he can't give a few hours of his time to say a few words? Disgusting attitude.

Stuck up tosser. Dalton, Moore, Brosnan, Craig, hell even Lazenby; true gents.

Blimey; it makes one feel old to see Pierce Brosnan talking about that time he played James Bond. Feels like yesterday he was the new Bond.
Pleasingly he still makes as much sense as he ever did in interviews :)

No need for all that. He gave a very long Bond-centric interview when Quantum was out; he's contributed to most of the Bond documentaries I've seen on the telly (I'm sure there's been a couple where George was a more noticeable absence)... he presumably just didn't want to do this one. He shouldn't have to.

Has anyone from the UK found any cinemas that are screenin EoN next Friday? Searched on the main Odeon site - but nothing came up. The film wasn't even listed.

Great argument.
Imagine if your 82 year-old grandad got told that he has to go back to the place of work he left forty years ago to help them out. How would you feel about that?

Is anyone able to get the EPIX channel to see the documentary? Here's a link which talks about it and modifies the poster with EPIX channel added.

http://www.superhero...and-two-posters

I'd like to have a copy of the documentary. ;>) Anyone know the run time?

This looks better than most of the extras on the blu-ray set. I hope they release it to buy!

I don't want to argue with you Mark, but if he can go all the way to the US Open, sit through a 5 hour tennis match and go to the post-match press conference and chat away with Andy Murray, Bond shouldn't be too much of an effort for him.

Does anyone know which Odeons are showing it in the UK yet?

I think the US channel is EPIX? And it's either Monday the 1st October for you, or the 5th as it comes out in cinemas over in the UK.

Still no idea what cinemas will be showing it though, I'm still looking..!

Why argue with me, then? I'm not saying he's incapable of doing it: he doesn't want to.

As others have already said he's actually done a fair few Bond documentaries in the last Twenty years so this has nothing to do with his feelings towards the series, it might however have to do with the fact that he has retired from all public appearances!
There is a good chance that he didn't even know about this documentary as the would have likely contacted his agent, who could have very likely turned it down without asking him as per his statement that he has retired from public appearances of any kind! Why should he have to do this anyway, he' s done enough interviews now on Bond why would they need any more footage for this documentary, they have plenty of archive material and he is unlikely to have anything new to say.

As for comparisons with going to the Tennis and talking with Andy Muarry these, along with the stock exchange earlier this year, were some of the only times he has been seen in public for a few years now (since around 2010). He very clearly did this because he felt like going to the Tennis, if you were a retired actor asked to do the same interview you've done for the last forty years would you really want to do this instead of going to watch a game of Tennis?

Guess we will find out then!

Hmm - I got an email back from the Odeon and Mandy, bless her, was still under the impression that it was still to be decided by the distributor as to where it would be shown.

No, I said, it is exclusively with Odeon.

I have yet to hear back.

But if the above is the list, my nearest would have been Maidenhead. Oh well. Many thanks for your sleuthing.

Nearest to showing to me is Covent Garden in London. Petrol + train ticket + film ticket + food + almost 2 hours on trains = pain in the [censored]. Gutted to be honest.

Oh well, I look forward to the blu-ray release. ;o)

Pierce Brosnan, perhaps inadvertently, is the most revealing, admitting he can't remember most of his post-GoldenEye output and displaying appropriate shame at the kite-surfing scene in Die Another Day.

Hehehe, can't wait. The nearest participating Odeon to me though is Cardiff's, 150 miles away.

For those of you in the USA, Epixhd.com are now showing EoN, although I thought it wasn't due to Premier untill 8 pm (EST)! I'm watching it right now, looks good so far.
The free 14 day trial may still be available, although I'm sure someone will try puting it up on YouTube later. Not sure how long before it'll be taken down though!

Yes, I'm curious about how we actually see this other than going to the cinema in a brief window. I suppose Sky 007 will have it...?

The first few minutes are on YouTube, on a 15 minute loop, filmed from a TV. I love the title sequence.

I just got done watching it on EpixHD. Very, very
well done. They did cover it all. I thought Connery's absence
was noticeable. It's a shame. Brosnan was very
candid. It really didn't cover any new ground for true Bond
fans, but for those new to 007, it's a must see.
