I'm not too big on the "007, reporting for duty" line. I don't know why, I just don't like it. I'd prefer if he said "The name's Bond, James Bond" instead.

I think it can be connected to the fact that in this movie Bond seems to be in a mission rather than the more emotional figure we saw in CR and QoS, where "The name's Bond, James Bond" was more suitable. I'm sure it will be mentioned somewhere in the film, but it's a bit worn out to be honest....

Gosh; that is an exciting little trail!
The big train shot; yumminess. Quantum never quite managed to find an end-of-trailer moment- that beats everything QoS had by quite a way. Marvellous.

I think I'm probably the only one that wasn't a fan of this TV spot. It was basically a 30 second recap of the IMAX trailer. I don't know just my opinion.

I'll make sure to tell the editor to cut the line out of the film haha.

Is it me, or does Silva look like Christopher Plummer in that shot?

He's going to be a very intense villain...I can feel it...

Wow the TV-Spot is fantastic, and the Music is incredible, hopefully this is from Newman.

Greetings from Austria

Why would it be a bad thing? No, just my opinion. I was expecting a bit more than a recap with 1.5 seconds of new footage. But hey, Beggars can't be choosers. Just my opinion. I'll hold out for the next trailer.

Well you said you weren't a fan, so I thought you thought it was bad.
And as no-one knew this TV spot was coming I'm surprised you were expecting anything! :)

But remember: most of us (including me) haven't seen the IMAX trailer so apart from the teaser we saw, this is the first bit of Skyfall/new footage we've seen.
Hence: mind blown.

Nice to see some of the IMAX footage in HD! That shot of Bond adjusting his cuffs, aftering jumping into the back of the train, is classic Bond. So happy right now.

I like the "007 reporting for duty" line. After two films where Bond is barely referred to as such (once in Casino Royale, and once in Quantum), it's nice to see that they're embracing the number to the full extent.

And that goes for everything, it finally feels like they're embracing the legacy with this film. Nothing against the other two Craig films, but at times they did shy away from traditional Bond tropes.

Loved that shot too. I wonder how they did that. It looked so real, yet it was Craig standing there with explosions going on behind him.

Green screen composite, most likely.

I quite liked the 'cuff' moment. When I first read about that, I feared it would be too much like the Brosnan 'tie straightening' business. Which I find cringeworthily self-aware. But Craig pulled it off well there.

Yep, just like he does with the one liners. The man´s a different animal, if that makes sense.

Bloody hell, freeze frame on the DB5: lines on the roof. Same place as in GF´s DB5, as seen in this link: http://www.007museum...tin_db5_big.jpg

Ejector seat conspiracy theory all over again, right? I know people have been saying it since the video blog, but this seems like confirmation, even if it´s not used at all in the film. Do take note that the link refers to GF´s DB5, not SF´s.

....is it just who wanted maybe one of those classic looks from Bond as he adjusts his cuffs, like Connery and Moore did when they knew they'd caused a bit of mayhem and they almost give on of those "Well, it wasn't my fault!" to the onlookers....Craig just has that scowl on him, no crack of light-heartedness in a classic Bond moment.

I'm not saying it's bad or rubbish...just something I would have loved to have seen but very pleased he's got Bond's mannerisms back!

Well I have been wondring would they have the official full trailer of Skyfall or first official TV spot. Since it was said that Daniel Craig was part of the opening of the Olympics, and it in London. Just like during the Super Bowl, we would see late spring and some summer movie trailers for the first time. I'm glad they did, and would they should it again during the whole Olympic or even show the official trailer at some point during the Olympic.

I think many people attributed Bond's behavior in the first two Craig films to the whole Vesper storyline. I think the truth is, as we'll find out in this film that Craig's Bond is just a bit more intense than the others, even in some lighthearted moments.

As it is, I enjoy the scene, and don't mind one bit Craig's expression, as it fits (what I believe to be) his Bond.

It really doesn't look it though, does it? Looks done for real.

I love that he looks pissed off that he's that cool :) "Yeah, I'm too cool to even appreciate the fact that I'm cool"

It's amazing what can be done with a green screen and a few props these days. That particular shot was probably done in Pinewood, but i'll have another look tomorrow.

Too short to the be the gunbarrel theme. Besides, it's quite generic, doubtful that any of that is Newman's work.

I had the last shot spoiled for me before I got the chance to watch the teaser, so I was afraid it would come off as being out of character for Craig's Bond.

I'm happy to say my fears were dispelled.

I like that we're getting a carefully measured glimpse of the film so far; I get the vibe that these little morsels are leading up to a legitimately classic Bond.
