My prediction is that the Skyfall title sequence will revolve around British imperial iconography. The last two title sequences used no British imagery at all, so it would be fresh. And when one considers that two major locations are Britain and Shanghai, and that the plot will involve some sort of grand collapse of authority, it would be appropriate for the title sequence to invoke retro colonial imagery. In this case, the "fall" in the title would be reflected in the hubris and collapse of an empire.

Also, naked ladies.

Something British related would be good. If the last scene of the film is Bond standing on the roof with the British flag in the background, it could bookend proceedings in a sense, telling us all is well again.

At the very least I think we can assume Daniel Craig will be featured in the titles again. It seems to be a theme with his films, though it's nothing new as Moore was featured in his titles from Spy on.

I don't think we'll see Bond in the water until after the title sequence, anyway. I think we'll see him fall, then cut to the titles, and have him hit the water afterwards.

Really? I was thinking that if we don't see Bond actually floating in the water, we'd probably have a little CGI moment, like The World Is Not Enough, where it shows Bond jumping from the dome and walking away. Just as Bond hits the water, 'Albert R Broccoli's Eon Productions presents..' then show a CGI Bond going under, bubbles forming, 'Daniel Craig' Bond floating on the surface, 'As Ian Flemings James Bond 007 in' Probably a shot zooming into Bonds eye underwater, goes through the Iris, explosion 'Skyfall' cue famous Bond moments from the last 50 years. Then the titles would end as we zoom back out of Bonds eye, and he swims away, 'Directed by Sam Mendes' cut to an Establishing shot of London or something.

So the GoldenEye Reloaded titles, then?

A "falling man" motif seems a bit too cute, and would invite unfavorable comparisons with Mad Men. People would say it was a rip-off.

Maybe, but as said above, it's something Bond's done before: in the OHMSS and TWINE titles, for starters.
