The district council responsible for Bognor has not been approached about filming and seem to know nothing about this.

Proof, if it were needed, that The Mirror just made it up to make Skyfall sound like cheapjack rubbish.

I think these reports are 90 percent rubbish, but one thing that IS true: at some point at the end of last year, the plans for shooting in Shanghai were significantly scaled back. My source, let's call him "Deep Throat", was expecting to be spending a significant period of time in Shanghai, but that changed, and work he would have been doing in Shanghai is now being done at Pinewood.

Of course, changes like this happen on any production, it's not necessarily a big deal.

Broke my heart when they told me Tatooine wasn´t real. Should have noticed the two suns. Wanted a velociraptor for Christmas and all I got was a toy, santa didn´t quite understand that one. Thought an Alien lived in my closet for a while. Sometimes he´d spit acid, others he just wanted to phone home. Really thought Charlot was mute or very shy. Tried every MacGyverism around, they never quite worked as in the telly. Broke my leg once trying to jump between walls in the "real world". Somehow I don´t think everything we see on the box or in the screen is real. Bloody liars, ruined my life...it was worse than that time I found out Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds meant LSD, there went the innocense. Liars!

It appears that filming in Bognor Regis was in their original plan, so this shows that the media deliberately distort reality.

It appears that filming in Bognor Regis was in their original plan, so this shows that the media deliberately distort reality.

Interesting how only one 12 year old boy knows about it and not the local authority - mark it up as untrue in its entirety.

I also find it weird that "it was done months ago", given that we've been keeping a very close eye on production and have seen nothing to suggest they went anywhere near Bognor Regis.
